Tradeskill AA requirements

What's required to purchase the Tradeskill AAs beyond level 3?
Are they restricted to only All Access players? Is a particular expansion required, beyond what's already provided for free (EoK I believe)?

They do not appear to be tagged to an expansion.

It appears that you can start purchasing AA mastery levels 1 - 3 @59, then level 4 @60 and another AA level for each 5 levels on your character.

Based on what I can see across a couple different characters.....

To purchase level 4, you must be level 60. No previous ability requirements.
To purchase level 5, you must be level 65. No previous ability requirements.
To purchase level 6, you must be level 70. No previous ability requirements.
To purchase level 8, you must be level 80. No previous ability requirements.
To purchase level 9, you must be level 85. No previous ability requirements.
To purchase level 11, you must be level 95. No previous ability requirements.
To purchase level 12, you must be level 100. No previous ability requirements.
To purchase level 13, you must be level 105. No previous ability requirements. (this was initially the only reason I took my characters to 105).

To answer your Gold requirement question-

As F2P, you get like 200 or so AAs that you can earn an assign. After those, you need to have Gold Access or they may still offer expanded AA in the store.

Assuming you are the required level, you can easily earn all the crafting AAs in one month. So at max 1 month of gold should do it.

LOL, huge grain of salt there. Scrubs and people who play maybe 4 hours a week don't make almost 5000 AA in a month. Careful how you set those expectations.
  6. Tappin Augur

You have to assume some sort of reasonable expectations on play time. I am not going account for someone who plays 4 hours per week, that is nonsense.

I have easily made 2500AA in a single double exp weekend. It's not unreasonable to assume that most can get all the Crafting AA they want in 1 month of gold. Even if they some how cannot max all the AAs out, it's unnecessary to do so.

Level 95 druid on Thornblade. I've only been able to get my TS AAs up to level 3. According to the scale above, I should be able to get them to level 11. What gives?

I mean you can at 4 hours a week... if it's broken up. 4 hours by doing 8 30 minute LS mission runs with lessons = at least 1600aa per week. 4 weeks in a month (and then some but I digress from that) is 6400aa in a month. So yes, those expectations are extremely reasonable if we are being honest.

They are talking about a live server.

Are you saying that you have enough aas banked but cannot purchase level 4 of a specific tradeskill aa on a level 95 character ... regardless of server?

That would seem like a bug based on the aa data we have.

They are on a TLP server, the 350 cap AAs are locked to a newer expansion than what they have unlocked.

    Yes

My bad. It seems I had a brain fart and saw EoK and thought ... that's got to be before VoA.

I blame my newly broken foot pain and not my becoming senile in my old age.

    But it's probably my senility.

You probably already know this, but putting this here just in case or if someone else who is reading it isn't well familiar.

As far as purchasing TS AA beyond lvl 3. You never want to do this until after you have hit 300 and maxed your trophy in a given TS. Being at lvl 3 locks you at 300 max in a given TS. There are some TS's where this is more important than others as you can't evolve a trophy with trivial recipe and if you have lvl 4 it's pretty easy to accidentally get your TS to to 305+ which negates some of the better recipes for maxing your trophy.

But you're not REALLY being honest.

People who play 4 hours a week (REGULARLY) don't make 200 AA in half an hour.

Yes, your example (of a die hard who happens to just play 4 hours a week for a while) can make those kinds of numbers. An actual scrub can't.

Oh yeah, not to mention, you're doing 8 lessons in one week, in your example. So, playing tricks with the clock, to be logged in at JUST the right times, to pull that off. Yeah, casual scrub ;)
