If Tormax turned out to have a surprise new rule set, would you be happy about it, or annoyed that the developers didn't tell us?

Stating it is going to be a low population server because of Teek isn't dumping on people who want to play there. It is just the reality of then situation. No one has personally insulted the Tormax players that I can see, though the Teek players routinely get called lazy and entitled for liking random loot. If I am wrong please link me some posts showing that I am wrong.

I am curious what your definition of success would be for this server? What would you consider a failure?

No clue, I will just log into the game and have fun killing stuff till I don't have fun anymore which is usually just after LDoN or sometimes around DoN.

My definition of success is having fun. My definition of a failure is caring about what online narratives say I should think about my experience

People are salty that the second server won't be an overflow for their preferred ruleset, thus giving them something to complain about whilst waiting on queue. Complete with the "dev resources" rationalization even though it's as close to 99% of previous servers as a modern TLP can be. LOL

Pretty funny, really, because you can practically set your watch to it every year about this time. If it wasn't this, it would be something else.

95% of the items or more are NO DROP very few dropped items are NO DROP...a few epic piece a finished epic and store bought items (db cash stuff) All those really nice raid drops in Vex Thal and PoTime are tradeable.

To answer your question... really simple.

Teek - 120+ Minute Que and rising.

Tormax - 360 people, half of which are only online to wait for teek que to calm down.

The REASON people shouted Tormax was doomed.. is because it is.

They've been churning out the same garbage server with the same garbage ruleset for over 10 years now.. and FINALLY... FINALLY people are starting to go "Man.. i really just do NOT wanna hop on another boring treadmill just to watch them kill their own server when GoD launches.. again.. for the 10th time."

The REASON they keep shouting it is because its far too easy to see exactly where any future of Tormax is going to end... merged with Vox server within a year... maybe 2 if they get stubborn and try and pretend its healthy and gaslight everyone that already knows better.

Its 715EST on launch day.. 360 people. There's more people right now sitting LFG on Oakwynd than there is on a brand new TLP on launch day.

You are fooling yourself if you dont think a normal server would have a high population right now if it wasnt going against a Mischief clone, of which there has only ever been the initial release 3 years ago.

Yeah Tormax was always doomed, but its not because people wont play a standard server again, its purely about what it was put up against.

Its like the MLB World Series Game 7 that went up against random unimportant thursday night NFL game. Football got the ratings, it appeals to more people and there is less of it.

Hows the population doing on Tormax, so far 4.5 hour wait on Teek.... lol....
