Today's TLP ...

Ive grown very disenfranchised with today TLP server. I play on Teek atm and i just find myself going through the motions . Log on , group , Trade skills and its all seems useless.

On Teek the value of Loot is , in most part valueless . There are still some pieces a little more rare but becoming more common. I dont even roll on most loot now days, Gems and the like are worth more than a lot of loot, thats just bad. If there is a piece of loot you want , you find out where its seen dropping, Go there just to find Mage Bots that doesnt seem to be an issue for some people. For example , i was looking for CoS , Droga , same mages literally 24 h a day for 2 weeks solid, went to other places i was told to go, Guess what?

Lets talk about PLing and getting PLed . This Does disrupt game play . Pick after pick there are PLers pulling trains across the zone. Had some tell me in Seb that they were going to be pulling from ABC to Disco 2, if i got in the way id prolly die. How are we supposed to group like that. Oh i know how ill lvl ill just buy Kronos and get PLed , Which is what the sellers of Krono wants hence the inaction on the PLing. People getting PLed are just lazy, oh sure you're gonna say you play enough you dont wanna be bothered with the grind. If your that tired , go play Wow, Course they found a way to eliminate A lot of their PLers. Hmmm

Tower Gear! Very OP. Of course everyone gonna love that. You don't NEED to raid to be OP just a few Krono (see above) . So you got your gear , don't need to raid (really) , so Why do we need guilds? Sure friends and such. Look around Teek there are More unguilded people on this TLP that the others at this time in the timeline.

The game has become a place where Farmers go to get krono and sell them IRL. A bunch of toxic people that dont care about the next person, Look he doing an epic turn , let me kill it first even though HE was here first waiting for his turn. Lazy people that cant be bothered to play the game , instead get PLed to max lvl , to do what? Tower gear is better that ANY Dropped loot on Teek right now, So why raid?

Im done this season , canceled scrip and wait till next year. Yea yea i know dont let the door hit me on the way out, /bye /bye you will say. Well like i said above , Toxic !

Sounds like you should have played on Tormax. You would have enjoyed it more.

Losing interest in the TLPs earlier and earlier due to There being no set community standards or enforcement.

You wouldn't have anyone to attack on a PvP server.

I see people putting themselves into the fat pipe of high-stimulus six-boxing all content. I see the effects of drugs and alcohol, rejiggering your stimulus feed.

What we offer is different.

I am sure I am not the only one who has watched younger gamers with envy. What if I told you, I know how to give that to you? What do you wish you could do? Who do you wish you could be?

I might be in the minority here, but I think that the expansions run for way too long. The first month of each expansion is so much fun, but then it just drags on and on. I can't seem to make it past Kunark anymore, even though I love this game. If I could only play one game for the rest of my life, I would choose EQ.

That would have solved almost every item on his list other than tower gear.

I don't get people playing on the breadline server and being upset that getting loot is like standing in a bread line.

One fix to the loot though would be to make the next one of these Free Trade but not Random. Or if they are going to make it free trade and random, don't make random as Loot of mob A AND Loot of mob B and instead make it loot of mob A OR B.

Daybreak could have also re-randomized the randomized part of it. If an item drops from mobs level 10 to 20 on Mischief, it could drop from a level 12-22 mob on Teek. They could reshuffle the order randomly as well.

you should check out tormax, no mass PLing or perma camping to speak of. loot still very much has value cause theres not as much of it to go around which makes the server very nostalgic for me cause thats how it was back then. plat still has value. the economy hasnt been destroyed by krono farmers yet cause they are on teek killing that economy
Teek has turned out to be a filter for tormax, it catches all the cheaters and krono farmers for us lol

This sentence alone should probably be enough for you to realize you are never going to like modern EQ. You would probably be happy playing on a server that actually attempts to restrict boxing, like a p99 or Project Quarm.

Boxers are a fundamental part of the game now, and if you consider them "evil", its just never going to work for you.

play on tormax. Candyland is fun, you get all you want raining from the sky. However after you have everything, whats the point?
Tormax also has a hidden advantage. 95% of the krono farming is on teek cause thats where everyone is

Aradune was a very popular server and was the best when the rules were enforced. Enforcement can't be that tough if P99 does it.

Boxers are not a 'fundamental part of the game'. Maybe they're fundamental to your playstyle.
When you have thousands of people on a server there are groups that don't require you to run boxes.

What I'm seeing is the population on Oakwynd is coming up. Those bonuses are legit and are only getting better. The krono prices are starting to come down (regardless of what the market fixers are trying to do).

Tormax seems to be 'ok' if you just want to play the game for fun and not worry about 'b1s z0mg' .

Teek is catered to the R.M.Teeker and the 'pay to win' crowd that have no impulse control. More power to them. I prefer to raid with friends and earn the gear on my toon.

The rule is one account per computer. That is easy to do and still box a ton.

As for P99 enforcing things. P99 is invasive like a virus. I wouldn't put P99 on any computer I used for ANYTHING other than P99.

EDIT: Also there is plenty of RMT on P99, it is just certain people are allowed to get away with it.

The solution to problems in the MOST populated TLP in history of EQ, is to suggest to go to the LEAST populated TLP in the history of EQ (Remember, Tormax had no queue on day 1 of release, another first in TLPs since queues were introduced)?

How much more disingenuous can the solution suggestions get? (rhetorical question!)
