TLP Expansion Unlock Pacing

I played on Fippy, Ragefire, Mangler, Yelinak, Oakwynd and the ones I had the most fun on were Fippy and Ragefire and in both instances was in the same guild where we didn't try raid current expansions. We were content taking our time and raiding an expansion behind. It didn't feel like I had to be playing EQ every waking moment I wasn't working in order to keep up. When EQ feels like a second job and consumes 100% of my life outside work It's not fun. I can keep up right up to about Luclin/Pop and then I burn out.

Did I state my guilds didn't do LDoN raids? Or did I literally state, "LDoN end game content is very weak"? I'll let you go back and verify.

Most guilds raid the 2 endgame raid zones of the current expansion, plus the top endgame raid zone of the previous expansion. Since LDoN only has enough content for 1 raid night, guilds typically do PoTime for their 2nd raid night, and PoFire/PoWater for the 3rd raid night.

Doing elemental raids for the 15th of 16th time is horribly boring, and people stop logging in on those raid nights. Some guilds make those nights optional, and some even drop to 2 nights a week. Once people stop logging in for any reason (bored of the elemental raids, distracted by a new TLP, no interest in sticking around for the next expac, or whatever reason makes them stop logging in), it is almost impossible to get them to come back.

So just because the expac pacing doesn't address every single reason people stop playing, it does address the reason I see most of the players leave guilds I've been in...they are sick of running over the stupid PoFire wall for the 15th time to get loot only the boxes and new recruits want.

The more people who stick around into GoD the better chance a server of getting a healthy population into the level 70 slog.

My bad, by claiming that LDoN content is weak, it alludes to the conclusion that you wouldnt raid it. That was what i took from that paragraph.

I guess im not sure what i was supposed to think when you said LDoN endgame is weak... like weak like boring? Because by that logic elemental planes are extremely boring, as is PoTime. The only logical conclusion was that you were claiming LDoN raids werent worth the time. Which is false. Which is why i said what i said.

Most guild also dont raid 3 nights a week anymore. Thats considered hardcore my guy.

Again, all ill say, is that mischief didnt have any problems at all fielding full raids with a dozen guilds well into level 70 content. So its been proven that if people like the ruleset and it assists them in staying current, the timelocks arent a big deal. I agree that without FV loot, 16 weeks is crazy. But I dont think thats why people quit, they quit cause a new server is coming out and they have no reason to stick around (because the ruleset usually blows).

New servers do not release during PoP, new servers release during GoD. Everyone quits during PoP because weeks 9-16 are INCREDIBLY BORING, not because a new server releases.

agreed I know this because this is usually when i quit for that exact reason, Its not because I don't like gates + Release ldon with Pop or like a week later so we can get flagging out of the way.
