Tides of Time tower missions - Why is exploitation the only way to complete it?

    They have it for some of the missions and if you find that with the newer missions it should be reported as well.

    I never said that reporting a bug will guarantee that it gets fixed, just that not reporting it makes it much less likely that it will get fixed.

    I understand that you are jaded about the process but that doesn't mean that people shouldn't provide information on how to report these types of issues to attempt to get them fixed.

    I get it you don't like to report bugs and are of the opinion that nothing ever happens from bug reports, that doesn't mean that others shouldn't help guide people to reporting the issues that they find in the game.

    If you don't take any effort to report the issues you find it shouldn't be surprising that they don't get fixed.

    Everything about the tower and the gear makes no sense and is just cheesed down for easy overpowered loot

    If it required 55+ to complete it would be much better. In their infinite wisdom they allow level 2 mages to walk all over it lol.

    I am not reporting the issues in this thread so why would I report the bug? I am just providing information on what could be done to try and get the issue solved. You on the other hand seem to want people to not report it to try and get it fixed.

    I have done the first two floors when they released on Oakwynd, with guild group. We didn't cheese with personas. Just took a couple of tries to figure it out, is all.

    Of course on Teek noone seems to bother doing it at their level though, sadly.

    I am doing them as I level. Forest was stupid hard. Let's just say the no-deleveling perk is the only reason I didn't give up and do it with a level 2 mage. Honestly I think the only reason I managed it was because it got broken after trying 17 million times and the adds stopped spawning.

    True. Forget about 3 years, many bugs are legit bugs but are not even fixed ever. The new expansions get all the focus while long-standing bugs are put on a backburner.

    How do special events work with TLP's in the future? As long as I've been playing on TLP's, I have never paid attention to special events. Will the Anniversary Tower unlock again on a new TLP when the TLP reaches January of the following year? What about all of the other special events that have come and gone?

    No one knows. It goes away in January, but it may or may not come back annually for the anniversary like the rest of the anniversary content.

    The gear and the encounter scaling are bad early on but get better at end game. At level 2 I can run a twink mage on and solo it no problem. At 65 on Oakwynd as someone mentioned you can DA and the one that AoEs would kill it's self. I would like to point out that's not any better then using a level 2 mage to cheese it. At level 125 you can solo them, and the gear is between T1 and T2 group.

    As someone else pointed out the gear was scaled to live not to TLPs (which is why the tower should have been empty. On live if your level 55-65 not using a heroic to be level 100 right away. Your character is probably twinked so much that the gear in the tower is "average" at best.

    Teek is an amazing server but the devs messed up by l having the tower running as well as not making Tormax an overflow. There are still login queues from time to time on Teek and Tormax is a ghost town.

    I doubt they change anything, it's a win/win for them having TLP players have to buy the new expansion for personas to actually complete the missions. If they make them easier then they would sell less expansions.

    It is crazy though that a full group can't complete a mission at level 30+, but a single level 2 mage can.

    Please, DPG, look into re-scaling this. The quests are actually super fun & it's a tip of the hat to your developers for the content each month! However, it's a bit wild that these tower bosses are realistically only doable at level 2 (i was able to get 1 succession at level 40 on door 1 after a night of attempts, but it is brutally overscaled).

    It is doing your developers a disservice to keep the bosses THIS ramped-up. TLP's are the majority of the player base at this point, and anything above level 2 scales to what I would imagine is a live-server boss.

    Otherwise requiring people to do the tower quest immediately (for people who want to do the tower) or to persona a class & dump the persona is 99% of the tower demographic right now. Again, it's great content. Your team should be proud - just tweak the insanity on damage and we're all happy haha

    Is this just an early expansion problem? I thought these quests were insanely easy at level 95.

    You all saying you're completing these quests with level 2 mages are crazy. I took a level 2 mage into the first key quest and got immediately 1-shot'ed by the very first mob (a level 21 con). What sort of level 2 mages are you all putting together? lol

    They are talking about the quests that are triggered by the keys which can be traded on Teek.

    Had zero issues doing them on Oakwyn at max level, as someone mentioned took a few tries just to get a feel for the event, otherwise no big deal, On Vaniki they were insanely easy at 100, on Test they were easy at 85, and 105 so I suspect its just very early scaling that will not be an issue come SoL and Max AAs.

    Also, GMM was an anniversary zone added in a similar fashion that the tower is, I suspect the tower will be around forever just like GMM.
