Thornblade Relaxed Truebox

I would prefer there to be some type of population balance between Mischief and Thornblade but that doesn't/isn't seem to be happening by the devs SO.....

I would like to start a request that Thornblade get some form of the relaxed truebox then to help with the lower population and perhaps even entice some people over to this one.

Not only that; it is time that tlp receives mercs earlier. Most of the classical purists jump ship when the next year tlp opens so that means sometime between GoD and DoN is appropriate. Also if daybreak likes money why not release full guildhalls in DoN so that people can buy them along with items for placement? That includes neighborhoods and housing by definition too.

Relaxed true box would help Thornblade's population and keep it so that theres no reason to have to merge thornblade/mischief eventually. This falls under the same issue as many older TLPs that end up dying out slowly to 1 or 2 guilds even doing content due to true box making it impossible for certain classes to even catch up. Would mercs earlier in the OoW era help? Yes but true box is what really is the bane to these servers surviving.

It could also entice some mischief players to go to Thornblade that want to box but cant because of true box and relaxed true box would help the ones that want to box.

Orrrrrr until devs grace us with a server merge before it’s too late to matter, all the people on Mischief who whine and complain about there being too many people can just come to Thornblade and have a lot more fun.

If you've read any of the 37 other threads in this forum about relaxed Truebox, you will know that devs have already stated that won't happen until they've had an evaluation period for how it works on Yelinak, and it won't unlock on that server until OoW, which is almost a year out. If it does ever happen, I would expect it to happen on all existing TLPs simultaneously, meaning it won't be different on Thornblade vs. Mischief. IMHO, your best bet is to lobby for a merge at the next merge cycle.

None of the other often-repeated requests that got thrown into this thread, for no obvious reason, are going to happen. If you want mercs at level 1, just play on Live. If you want guild halls at level 1, just play on Live. If you want housing at level 1, just play on Live. The TLP experience is different on purpose.

If they don't relax the truebox, they should at least give thornblade fellowships to help bring players together sooner.

Rallos, please give me the strategy to change the things I must change, the wisdom to know & ignore the things I cannot change & the strength to smash the pathetic, worthless & annoying.....like all the Halflings, because that would be fun.

Trial not needed, we had years of data on how the game functioned without truebox, from all the years before it ever existed. The benefits people may ascribe to truebox were actually provided by picks and AOCs. and on thornblade, random loot making camp locking less critical.

Dude, you're preaching to the choir. You have to convince the dev team, not me. Troll posts in this forum in order to argue with other players is wasting both your time and mine. My advice is, and has been for some time, to take it to the Discord, and to stop expecting forum posts to have any real effect.

Would like to see Relaxed Truebox on Thornblade as well.

Seems like you made the choice to play on the low pop server and now regret it. Why not just transfer to mischief and be done with it.

As a Mischief player, I won't say no to Thornblade getting this feature.

Though even if they did, I'm not switching.

Played from Launch halfway through PoP on Thornblade and had to step away due to life changes. Things have calmed down in the past cpl months and I would love to come back but the only thing stopping me is not wanting to but that pos clunker of a laptop back on my desk to box my cleric. I would immediately return if Thornblade went relaxed truebox.

It truly amazes me year after year how this company either doesn't communicate or chooses not to push things forward at a decent rate lol.

Took me about 2-3 years of pushing to even get the hate meter put in, which is an extremely basic thing.

I've been pushing for removal of truebox now for almost 3 years. I mean on the positive I guess SOME servers have gotten relaxed truebox but let's be honest here, this entirely has to do with them trying to figure out if they're old, odd system can handle it. I think on servers like Mischief it would be a no go but I can't fathom why on servers like Aradune/Coirnav/Thornblade they wouldn't just enable it slowly to see.

It has absolutely nothing to do with any "old, odd system". Every server runs the exact same hardware. No Live servers are Truebox. There is no difference of any kind between Mischief and Thornblade other than population.

Some of us have been doing this a lot longer than three years. Insisting that one particular server (which just happens to be the one you're playing on) be treated differently from all the rest is, well, counter-productive.

The population of live is with no truebox...the population of mischief with no truebox would be above and beyond that of live currently, so yes..hardware...especially sharing a database which is the main issue.

The only issues Mischief would possibly see is the return of queues at log in.

Most requests I've seen are so people can stop having to have more than 1 comp, in which case it wouldn't make a lot of difference. Its additional accounts being played at the same time that might cause issues.

For example
Tom switching from playing 3 accounts on 3 machines to 3 accounts on 1 machine = no change
Harry switching from playing 1 account on 1 machine to 3 accounts on 1 machine = 2 extra accounts.

It is all doing to come down to how many Tom and Harrys there are. Richard doesn't count he is down the pub....

looking foward to truebox on yelinak but might jump to a new tlp if you can box 3 or more on a single pc in the next years tlp.
