This is the least active expansion launch I've seen

... not just for this game, but for every mmo I've played. There's relatively no posts on the boards about it, post-launch.

Do you feel there's a reason for it?

Forums went down and everyone is in game, and servers are still up ?

Some of us work for a living...and maybe there are lots of players already grinding XP instead of posting about it?

People are:

A) still at work
B) still at work and waiting for eqresource.com to data-dump everything to their site?
C) fighting over groundspawns right now in Shard's Landing...

Waiting on petition to fix pre-orders so my OP mage pets can dominate the expansion

Not all players come to the forums or care to come here.

Added another one. Most of the hardcore crowd took the day or next few days off so they could get firsts and such.

#2 was accomplished like like 5 hours ago!


But yea, why would people post much when they are busy playing the game (just means nothing has been really broken or wonky... yet )

Main reason so many people posted on alaris launch is because the launch day lag was hideous so people were literally waiting like 1 hour 15 min for 20~ min repops in argath... lots of downtime = more posting!

If i am lucky ill probably wont be loggin in till tomorrow.

Grinding as usual. Didn't buy ROF because there's nothing I hate more than being lied to and I hold a grudge like a champ. I'll wait til I can use SC or get it really cheaply.
Considering your merc problems and LDs, there's nothing I wanted from this expansion.

You're right though, the population is down and lots of guildies, I'd say about 1/3 did not buy it.

General chat has been busy. Guild has had a ton of people on during day time hours. Shard's Landing is laggier in some parts than the guild lobby. Until Friday morning, did the servers have to come down at all? Smooth release of RoF really, can't vent on forums when server is down.

I've had a lot of fun going through the tasks and getting some conquest achievements. It is a great change of pace from the standard CoB hang out group. 2k H/M/E loot dropping from trash, zones aren't flagged. Nameds seem pretty common. Raids already going down. Seems like a pretty busy 48 hours of launch to me.

very few eq plaers ever used the forums they mostly used the guild forums they were in or other places
and even then more log in and play then do forums because back when game first came out you could only play or troll forums not both at same time.

Lowest I have seen in Shard's landing has been 56 most was over whatever will come up on the list which is over 156 'cause that amount did show up a few hours later.

New EW had 56!

Didn't check any of the other zones as we settled to exp in Xorbb and then when the group broke I got another in EW.

Expansion is busy where you would expect them to be, but there are some quieter spots. Guild has its first level 100 player...grats again Ashi. Most are still 96/97 having run around getting portal quests done etc.

Getting lots of positive feedback from guildees and have seen tons of people online. Although I've not xped in the new zones yet, I did buy my spells and intend to do the Alaran tasks this weekend, since I only recently returned to game and am still only at 75. (Thank you, SOE, for this... you saved me dozens of hours of headaches!)
