Old baz had issues. Not even sure they told us all of them, but something to do with the arena was part of it. People being knocked out of selling mode was another. It was super laggy for some... It wouldn't have the barter function and are there other things that make it not just a replace/revamp that could be era set? This would be way down most Agnarr, let alone total playerbase wish list of things for them to spend time on. Doesn't mean you won't get your wish.
They have also already said they are not going to maintain a bunch of separate server code, so chances of that changing is pretty much slim to none.
