GH dummies are now peaceable in houses, so you should be able to do the tests without a guild hall.

Rogue's Knifeplay is not a burst discipline, it doesnt stack with any of the burst disciplines, it was introduced to help sustained dps of rogues which was very low at that time. So if you downgrade it like duelist line and in same time you put the new passive AA there will be no increase for rogue sustained dps for the 3 min duration of knifeplay disc with 5 min refresh so for a good portion (60%) of our sustain time. It would be totally counterproductive.
Question about a translocator NPC in Plane of Time and PoK. Will the "Herold" ever get his head back? lol I know before the later expansions came out they used to have one, but it's been this way for a long time with them not having a head. Idk if it's a glitch or not, or is this a task you have to take on to get his head back? Would be nice to see it again though
Sure if you want to set some up I will look for them to do testing on.
I will also look at the DI spread of the simplest of my parses to see if the db gh dummy is equivalent to the 103 test dummy.
I didn't say it's too big a swing in the opposite direction. I said I haven't parsed it yet and don't know what the outcome would be. (I've been on holiday and just got back.)
Almost certainly with a change so large there will be teething problems, but the fact is that the mechanism is in game and that is the major triumph here. Tweaking a 74% number to 54% or 94% is childs play and quick to do once the dust settles and the impact becomes more well understood. Also remember it's meant to be a boost to non-disc. If they missed out some discs for modification then they can soon amend the numbers on those too. This is NOT a 74% boost to rogue dps as parsed by the parser... (or 82% to berserker, 66% to monk, etc).
So people need to stop worrying about the actual numbers right now and provide appropriate feedback rather than (the inevitable) rattle out of pram moments we're bound to get.
You misunderstand the intention of the change. I believe it is to boost the *non-disc* portion of the classes and for sure monks are ahead of berserkers there. That is plain wrong, so it makes sense for berserker between-disc dps to get a bigger mod than monk between-disc dps.
Remember your view of class breakdowns will also be different to 90% of other guilds as most guilds kill things much slower, which in turn means the between-disc / non-disc dps has a much bigger impact.
It should also result in a burned DPS gain for all classes too. Looking at Terrorpalm rank 3 went from 207 to 157. With 66 from the AA that's 157 + 66 = 223, which is greater than 207. Basically with higher level ferocity items you're constantly running around with a weaker Innerflame/Duelist/etc. It should also make burning other discs better.
No zerks are burst and have always been burst to say they need to be better sustained then monks with or without disc is just silly and trust me zerk was my main for 7+ years so im not just throwing things out there. they do need help on there sustained but to say they need to be sustaining better then monks is just down right silly
Why should monks out sustain zerkers ? Do you have one good reason for that opinion ?
When you compare the 2 classes besides burst dps what does a zerker bring to the game that a monk cant do better ?
That would allow melee DPS to have some form of balance like casters sort of do? If a Monk is not allowed to be more then 2/3 the DPS of a Berserker or Rogue on burn, then they should beat both on sustained by a large margin in return. Otherwise there is absolutely no reason to have monks on a raid (like is currently true since TDS launch).
Burst as they always have. i have not seen a monk beating a zerk at the same skill level
and if you make monks higher sustained dps there is no reason to bring a zerker or rogue in a raid. There are no burst events unless you're in ROI every boss lives over 2m.
We're bouncing Test to fix the new AAs for all characters and to get the right date range for the Labor Day bonus. It'll be back up ASAP.
So lets ignore the better mitigation, mend, FD, etc they beat me in one area but so i should beat them in everything else in the game ?
Monks should be competitive but to say they should be ahead or rogues and zerkers is foolish.

are there roles for classes anymore or is the community just wanting to copy/paste after this long because im pretty baffled by all this
not about roles its about trade offs. Monks get better mitigation survive ability etc. Rogues and zerkers get what exactly ? DPS is not the only aspect of playing a class. Raids are not the only aspect of Everquest either.
exactly what i was saying. you dont want roles you want trade offs and saying dps is not the only aspect of playing a class if thats so maybe you should try playing a different class then because that is so wrong its sad to think you might actually believe so. now im going to stop arguing because its getting redundant.
