For months now missions have been broken, raids have been broken and items have been broken. Every patch just leads to a bigger mess. Now necros find out that they are being nerfed all at once without even consulting the necro community about adjustments and changes. Ever since Daybreak has taken over from SoE this game has been a complete disaster. Why consult the community, much easier to just let someone get in your ear about necro DPS then totally annihilate the class without even consulting the community about the changes. I think everyone could see the manaburn changes coming and it was anticipated but changing Flesh to Poison, which has been an essential part of our burns for several expansions now, is just ridiculous. Why change manaburn operation, Flesh to poison, Pet mob and the fact that we wont be able to twincast two of our longest dots all at once without talking to the community first? Daybreak obviously just doesn't give a damn about the community and it's opinion about the game. At least SoE talked over adjustments with the community and tried to do what's best for the longevity of the game. Like I said, any accounts that necros have and are paying for in addition to their main raid account should be closed. Don't subsidize a company that clearly doesn't give a damn about it's customers. If it wants to drive the game and the company into the ground then so be it. After 15 years of playing this game, I fear that my time is coming to an end.

Instead of changing all Necro Call Skeleton line to Timer 19, is it possible to change the level 90, 100 (and 110 in the future) version to Timer 20 or something so that we can cast 2?

In this way, you will be able to achieve your goal without reducing too much DPS of non-Raiding Necromancers.

That's been suggested previously in this thread a couple of times (link 95 + 105, 90 + 100) with no developer response. If history is any indication, once a nerf hits the Test server, it goes to the live servers unchanged a week later. It will take an Act of Innoruuk to stop it. :(

So how are the new pet aggro changes? The only thing I've seen here is they are worse not better. Does the taunt thing bring them back to the original aggro?
  5. Happyfeet GOML Journeyman

Can you all change the /who delay to like 2 seconds instead of 5? That's just a ridiculously long delay. I understand the idea is to lower server stress, but 5 full seconds is a long time when you're trying to find someone via guess and check or specific LFGs.
  6. strongbus Augur

from what i had read and heard form others. no all the taunt thing did is replace the pet calm and pet prov aa. but did not restore aggro to what it was before jan patch.
  7. mackal Augur

it also allows the pet to be able to taunt it's target. Before taunt did nothing but spam the pet owner :p

Not good and lost in all the Warrior whining. What a joke.
  9. Telkiney Elder

First they came for the Monk dps, and broke Thunderfoot's proc rate.
Now they come for the Necro and Wizard dps.

I wonder when they will start helping the DPS classes that need it like Zerkers(general dps) Rangers(mana problems) instead of nerfing the well performing ones.
  10. segap Augur

Both Zerkers (60 second dichotomic) and Rangers (manaburn?) got nice boosts with TBM and are doing well on the parses I see from mine and other guilds. Either one can regularly top the melee parse.
  11. Randragon Augur

The Rangers did get a nice boost in the form of Scarlet Cheetah and Dichotomic Fusillade.

And yes we do hit the parses , sometimes near the top but it is when we have a Bard in the group that the Ranger's ADPS/DPS really shines on Raid Mobs.

Mana burn should have just been completely removed from the game or changed so it's affect was reduced for all classes. It is totally overpowered in it's current form. How is it in any way shape or form fair that devs remove it's bonus for dots but still let it have the same damage bonus for DD's and other melee? It's obvious that someone got in their ear and convinced them to make these changes without really thinking the decision through. Either this is just a complete &%$# the necros patch or this just wasn't well thought out on the devs part!

Cant believe I am getting nerfed =(

When the changes are at your advantage (aka knight getting OP), it's very easy to say this.
  16. strongbus Augur

being asking dervs in here and pm and best i can get bout the changes to necros is to balance the game. But can't get a answer as to why gutting necro raid and group dps is needed to balance the game.

Unfortunately, it seems like the writing is on the wall. Just like the rain nerfs, our DPS will be lowered (beyond the manaburn fix) for no discernible reason and against the wishes of the majority of the community. The only reason not to immediately reroll a wizard is a vague dev post indicating that they will be nerfed as well. You know, because just nerfing everyone onto the same playing field is exactly the right design strategy for this game, apparently.

It's pretty basic really. Because your DPS makes some current or future content easier than they want it to be. You may not agree with them and they may have gone too far but in the end their goals are pretty straight forward. Balancing the game for the wide range of player abilities and content is stupendously difficult. I don't envy them.

As a warrior I don't see what all the fuss is about. If knights get something that allows them to tank better than what they currently can, so what? It doesn't take anything away from me. And as a raider, having more tanks available for tanking is a good thing, not a bad thing. Why would anyone think that doing old content because you don't have enough warriors to do current content is good? Situations like that lead to attrition of guild membership as people desert or retire in frustration.

No doubt some guilds are not short of warriors, but that frequently that is not the case for the average guild. And don't suggest "recruiting", because in the modern game with declining populations the number of raiding warriors is dropping, and using part time casuals to replace them is a poor option. Most of those players have poor skills and little experience. Plus, they tend to be around for a month or two, then poof. If you already have experienced paladins and SKs in the guild, why in heavens name would you oppose measures intended to allow them to make up the numbers if needed? People need to stop thinking that it is 2000 and realize that we are in the reality of 2016. Having required specialists in the modern game is bad. We need people to be able to play multiple roles effectively, if the game does not allow that then demographics will kill raiding.

I've watched paladins fall further and further behind warriors for the last two years. While frustrating, we still tanked "good enough."

Now the gap is being closed, hopefully to what it was before. I fail to understand the warrior anger if it returns knights to where it was.
