You must dismiss one before purchasing a new one!"
After dismissing my non existent merc about 10 times, the window finally said "you must own a mercenary to pull up this window" and I was then able to purchase a new merc.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I had this exact same issue with my SK I copied to test. Just kept spamming dismiss and eventually I could no longer open the merc window and was able to hire one. Annoying lack of support from DBG on this issue, you the real MVP though Ziniktil!
