Teek and Anniversary Tower - a Lose/Lose?

Still don't see how that forces you to buy a persona, as it is entirely possible to acquire everything from the tower without a persona.

Yeah that's wrong, even for a level 2 mage the orc oracle is level 10+ and just one shots the pet.

It's how everyone's doing it I don't know why ur arguing. I personally have done it twice with a lvl 2 mage.

You did the key quest, not the tower floor quest, with a level 2 mage? Because I'm betting you actually just can't follow the conversation in the thread. I'll log in and give you 10 krono for a video of you soloing the key quest at level 2.

Yea, they are confused on that one. Why they don't make the tower a minimum spawn of 20/25 same as most of the keys, I do not know. Makes no sense. You could still get the job done if the mobs in the tower were 20ish, but it wouldn't be as ridiculous as the level 2 mage approach. Make Key and Tower spawns both start at 20 or 25 and be done with it.

I would expect this change to be in the next patch.

Did you see me say it's an unsolvable problem? That's how I finished the quest. I'm just pointing out the the lvl 2 mage strat is only applicable to the floor missions, and not the key quests. Not sure how this is confusing for you.

You can't do the actual key quest with a level 2 mage. The lowest I have seen spawn on any of the quests is 21-22. The tower you can cheese with a level 2 mage. The quest for the keys scaling is horrible compared to the scaling in the tower.

I expect them to change SOMETHING, and that change is going to CAUSE more issues than it solves...because Daybreak literally cannot do a patch these days without breaking something.

Keys are tradable you don't have to do the quest

It has ruined the server for me and I am about as far away from being a krono farmer as it is possible to get. I was looking forward to raiding and gearing up in that fashion. Just saw a guy selling a 5 'set' of this gear. It just doesn't fit in Kunark.
Regret buying 3 months in advance and bags. Have gone from looking forward to logging in to thinking 'what's the point?'

No it didnt. I did the key quests at 25, 30, 35 and so on, and it never did that much damage. Youre being hyperbolic for the sake of your argument. Does it have a nuke stronger than an average level 25 mob? yes. Is it a 1.2k nuke? no, not even remotely close.

Downtime to disable tower? I hope so, it's silly

that and remove the sets that are around and trade with a stack of party cake and fireworks , so everyone is on par again and those who sold those crap for 2 krono a piece , get a life ban .

They prolly are balancing getting money from ppl buying Lauriens song just to get personas to do the tower with a lvl 2 mage, with losing subs to people who quit due to the towers existence. Has the balance tipped and a nerf is incoming? Dollar dollar bills y'all

One can only hope they are removing this from Teek and Tormax. There is no justification for having it in game. It is so far out of era it would render 5 slots of loot meaningless for multiple xpacs.

So the recap, the only change they made was to the plat farming.

So those who rushed to higher levels made their money, all that money was introduced into the economy and Krono was vacuumed up, and now others cannot do the same.

Then no changes to the gear which is what is giving so many players heart burn due to it invalidating much of the game (pretending the gear doesn't exist is silly). Glad something was done I suppose but this definitely sends a clear message of "We are fine with the gear being out of era and being sold for Krono/plat, go cry about it if you don't like it". Which is certainly a message you can send.
