Teek and Anniversary Tower - a Lose/Lose?

Yeah I'm not quiting over it but I do wish it wasn't in the game.

I really don't pay attention to stuff that means nothing to me.

The issue for me is not that this makes you ungodly overpowered. It's the fact that every piece of gear added osboletes the 100+ other attainable items of era for that slot from rares/raid mobs. I actually don't even care about the charm slot, we can't get a charm now. I would prefer that each tower level completed upgrades the charm all the way up to 500hp 5hp/mana regen.

There are 5 pieces of gear now filling 5 slots that are much better than anything else you can attain until PoP. There will be 9 pieces available before the time Luclin even launches? That's literally half your gear slots filled for free with BiS and half the gear dropping for these slots obsoleted.

as far as krono goes? EVERY tlp is a krono fest. If its not one thing it'll be another, thats the nature of a tlp

Have you checked out the lvl 65 tower gear?
https://special.eqresource.com/miacallieherlsas.php take a peek, the prefix is "Remarkable". The neck for example has 18AC, 125Hp, 129mana and 10 to stats and 8-9 to resists. Pretty comparable to the Velious era Silver Charm of Tranquility which gives 35 AC (double!), 100 hp/mana, 8 to all resists and 15str, 10 sta.
I haven't compared every slot but did you see something to indicate that the 65 gear was comparable to OoW raid gear or ...?

The plat rewards aren't even that much. I can easily make more money doing a conventional camp with plenty of named, and vendoring off the class specific gear. Each piece is 350+pp. In addition to cash drops and gems.

I have done 0 Tower events, and have more plat and krono than I ever have at a release. Not even selling things to other players. Just vendoring stuff because I can't be bothered with Commonlands hawking.

I mean I went and poked at one key quest, the oracle who spawned at my level (25) immediately did about 2.5k damage in two spell casts, and I'm fairly well geared rolling around 800-900 health right now. So maybe there's another strategy for them but the key quest for access to the mission curb stomped me.

So will the 6th piece unlock starting June 1st? Also can you use those augs on every piece of gear it lists it can fit or can you only have one on your char at a given time? I've never used augs before since I don't play melee or Live.

Yes, June 1st a new floor should open and a new item/aug/ornament should unlock upon beating it. The type 25 augs aren't lore so you can have a bunch of the same one, the type 7s are "lore equipped" so you can buy as many as you want but can only wear 1 at a time.

Almost none of them are BiS in Velious let alone Luclin.
The Extra AC on SIlver Charm makes it a lot better then the Tower item.

It's only considered "game breaking" if your only goal in the game is farming krono and you're bad at it. Maybe play the game, farm your own items/gear/plat/krono and stop worrying about how many krono others have. From what I could see in EC prices of other items are still reasonable.

Massive plat inflation is game breaking. It's only been a few days. A month of this much plat inflation you'll see 10k krono and any high end item will be 3-5x the normal price in platinum. Hope you have krono saved.

Lol you picked the most sought after rarest item in luclin from the very last boss and told people it didn't compare to loot you can get for 4 min of work on a lvl 2 mage. Some of the logic some of y'all throw around with so much confidence blows me away

A bunch of selfish greedy no-lifers kept it as secret as they could while massively farming plat to buy up krono.

Give this much platinum inflation a few months and krono will be 10k-30k in plat and the platinum cost of high end items will be unobtainable. It will also skew even basic commodities like potions, anything that high level players want that requires a drop will have its price massively increased.

Those with lots of krono will benefit, those without will feel a squeeze.

But don't worry, if you can farm the stupid tower event a few hours every day you'll be fine.

This sort of things has happened in other mmos like classic wow with botting.

Platinum inflation is bad for players and the economy.


But hey some selfish people got rich and it only ruined the biggest tlp launch they've ever had.

Give it a few months. But have a good server!

Probably an unreasonable take, but, you could just play the game and not worry/care about the price of items. Should all be farmable

Unfortunately it looks like these items will be Bis for the next 7-10 months at the minimum.

You can't get the tower neck from 4 mins of work on a level 2 Mage.

Silver charm is also better, Valtron's is better, Malo click neck is better. Mini Aten Neck is better, any of the Neck slots with a Rank 3 focus will be better in Luclin.

The tower loot isn't as broken as people think for Velious and most of it is terrible is not even remotely close to Luclin raid gear.
