Teek and Anniversary Tower - a Lose/Lose?

The item that basically nobody knew about or had back in the day because you bads were too busy sitting around chatting instead of raiding? Yeah...no. This earring is a certified TLP classic, nothing else.

This earring is a living embodiment of all the people trying to accomplish the things they never got to back in 2000 and trying to play it off as nostalgia. Just fulfilling those long lost dreams of that sweet VP loot.

Isn't one of the main arguments always about how the content, the zones, the atmosphere are so superior? You have this open world to explore, cool dungeons to crawl through, iconic raids to kill? Tower gear takes nothing away of reliving content besides for the gear you may or may not wear (which you aren't even forced to wear as the content is easy enough without it).

There is more to this game than just loot, but clearly you and a few more krono farmers are hiding under the facade that it ruins "classic eq" when "classic eq" died a long time ago. There are things in the game outside of tower that are objectively more powerful and break classic immersion.

Necros get a focus in PoHate - Encyclopedia Necrotheurgia - and no, don't think they get any of the Kunark ones. Appears to me last shared is their L48, which SK get in PoP.

That necro book is now completely worthless on Teek given the earring has 4 times the focus power and works through PoP.

So? Melee are about 10x more powerful than classic - they get weapon augments, a bunch of endurance abilities, all sorts of stuff. Monks went to 9000. How is a pet focus gonna matter much, especially since pets are pretty nerfed on tlp anyways.

But how will they use their plausible deniability? They're fine dots are 3x more powerful that now delete anything or their monk fists literally having a better ratio than any wep until POP because on its surface it's still "classic" because they are just modified versions. God forbid entirely new items replace some others. Can't have that. That's not classic.

Curious how you are coming up with 4x? The Encyclopedia has "Minion of Hate" focus and the Earring at 55 has "Minion of Darkness".

Minion of Hate:
Increase Pet Power (10)
Min lvl 48
Max lvl 60

Minion of Darkness:
Increase Pet Power (20)
Min lvl 56
Max lvl 75

So the PoHate book has focus lvl 1 and the Earring has focus lvl 2.
