Visually from my very preliminary glances, it appears that the new group tradeskill armor beats out EoK raid armor and below in the ac, hp, and mana fields pretty handily. The EoK raid gear is superior in heroics by roughly 5 per stat, and then of course the focus effects are better (for now since decay hasn't set in yet). For your typical alt that has a mess of all kinds of old gear, would you be looking to replace all but the most class necessary focus effects with the new tradeskill gear or would you take/keep the old raid gear?
The tradeskill gear will be rare this time around. It requires you get a rare drop to combine with a tradeskilled item. It won't be the norm to have complete sets of it.
Would you please link the tradeskill recipes? I haven't been able to find any information about the tradeskill armor. Are the items to make it dropping only from group nameds, similar to Omens / SoF quest armor?
