I just performed the 3 Mercenary tasks in The Skyfire Mountains, quad boxing, and all 3 bots got the credit and achievement, but my main toon did not. The main toon received the updates for the 3 mercenary tasks i.e. "Your task 'Black Scale Bounty' has been updated." and "You've collected several black drake scales for the Combine.", but they are not listed as completed in my achievement window, nor did I get the achievement spam. When I mentioned this issue in guild chat, several other guildmates also said they've been having issues with tasks and achievements not updating on random toons in random zones, especially EoK zones.

Have you tried linking the achievement of the said toon who did not get it in group or guild and then clicking that link to see if it is infact incomplete?
Have you tried clicking to a different expansion then going back and opening the achievement you need to see. Alot of times if you have the achievement window open for say a hunter zone and you get a kill that you need and it is not the final it will not auto update your view. However if you click off and back on the achievement it will show the update.
