So done a little bit of the shawl 3.0 quests, but not sure if I really want to continue after hearing about how the casters/priests got the screwdown with their shawl. As I understand it, the 2.0 proc is 750 rune, while 3.0 is an 850 rune? Not much of a boost though if the proc rate on 3.0 is the crap. Does anyone know if the proc rate is the same or better on the 3.0 shawl as 2.0? I see no point in bothering to upgrade if the 3.0 is in fact a downgrade, any information on this would be greatly appreciated.

The procs are identical to the group and raid versions of the last shawl. Same chance, same size. The big draw of this shawl is that it is a 50AC 300 hp 7 HDex 7HAgi augment for the group version, and a 55AC 350 hp 8 HDex 8 HAgi aug for the raid version.
I see, guess I should have noticed the part about (22% Chance) . Not real keen about going from raid proc to group proc though until several months later. Sidegrade here I come, apparently.
If you really want the additional 100 pts on the rune, and don't mind the stat hit of using your 2.0 shawl, you can do all of the shawl quest up to the point where you have to tailor the shawl of the duke, and just don't do that final step, until you have your raid drop.
Group shawl 3.0 is best Tank Aug in game and wont be replaced for like 5 years, should definitely move up to it.
