Tailoring on Agnarr?

I have Almar's guides up, is there any other, possibly less painful way, to skill tailoring past 158 other than Fleeting Quivers? I do NOT wanna farm this stuff ;/

I'm not sure there is a better path before Velious and Luclin.

On the bright side, you should be able to sell the fleeting quivers pretty well.

Tailoring? Less painful? That's not a thing, sorry.
    Pack and Moggman like this.

^^^ Tailoring is the devil of tradeskills, ok maybe thats pottery wait or was it blacksmithing.
    i'm sensing a pattern here...

    +1
    Almar's Guide suggests using Mandrake to get from 21 to 66. It's about 13 pp/stack of 20!

Forest Green Silk Swatch is in Almar's guides now. That's easier than the quivers to 190.

Not sure that Forest Green Silk Swatches are available on Agnarr yet. It takes dark green dye, which requires evergreen extract and since the required evergreen leaf is only found in three zones, Goru'kar Mesa, Greater Feydark and Wakening Land. Goru'kar Mesa as you know will never be released on Agnarr, and while there are Greater Fey locations listed, I am not sure if they worked before Seeds was released. Wakening Lands is a Kunark zone, so this is out until mid August.

Even if the leafs are available, you will either need to be a Shaman with Alchemy, or a Thief with Make Poison, and if you are not a potter you will need to either get a Medium Clay Jar made for you, or make one yourself.

Good luck with your quest to master Tailoring (is 250 still the max on Agnarr, or is 300?) Remember that AA's shouldn't be available until Luclin releases.

Forest Green Silk Swatches were available at least from Kunark and I think from classic on Phinigel and Ragefire. It appears that the leaf spawns in Greater Faydark aren't linked to an expansion.

You will need an alchemist or poison maker to help, it's true, but pottery isn't that hard or expensive to raise to do the jars yourself.

The jar combine is a nuisance, because each jar is a combinable container that you need to put things in individually each time (no recipe look up for that combine). It's tedious. But I'd say, even given all those limitations, it's still easier than farming for the Fleeting Quiver.

The downside is there is no resale value to the Forest Green Silk Swatch. If you go the Fleeting Quiver route, you can at least sell some of them.

    Tailoring definitely worse than both.

Live tailoring is sooo much easier with the templates and plenty of folks selling hides in the bazaar. On test, I got my cleric tailor to 300 for oh about 500-1000pp in hides that I didn't farm myself!

Npt sure if Agnarr will ever see the template route, although they do sell them at the vendors. I myself haven't tried to skill up on any yet, but I am a poor army and only have about 500pp between the 5 of us! (All my alts. Damn I need a life without alt-aholicism!)

Wakening Lands is Velious, not Kunark. So, yeah...even longer!
