Would like it if this just became a basic evolving item that didn't require specific mobs and zones to level it up.
Got off your collective butt? The way this evolving item was you mean sat on your collective butt! My idea of spending time in game would be helping out others when I can. With this item if I only worked on this I'd never be able to help on missions. With exception of those that have alarans in them. The flaw of this is that its limited to alaran mobs. That and the sheer number of mobs it takes to level is silly. Full group chain pulling mass bunches in Valley yielded me like 15% over double xp weekend. That is is just ridiculous and doing the same boring missions in pillars is same.
Sorry Insaneox, you like many others here have no clue what you are talking about. The tear has been around for 2 years. There are other ways of leveling the tear then mass killing. In fact if you tried to level it by just killing, I agree you would never do it. Now, in pillars there are 5 tasks. Each task has a 6 hr lock out. If you did the optional tasks within those 5 tasks, you got a tablet as a reward. Right click the tablets and it evolves the tear. If you know what you are doing, you could do 4 out of the 5 tasks in less then 2 hrs. Doing it this way still took awhile, but is was VERY easy to level the tear (no mass killing needed). As for helping people, you ever hear of task adds? I really wish people knew what they were talking about before coming here and complaining about things being to hard. If you are going to come here, I'd rather you did a little research on how to do things easier, instead of complaining to make things easier.
Thanks for making me laugh! I stated in the above that we should not have our game play dictated to limited things like pillars and other alaran choices. It's bad when you can level a toon 0-100 and damn near max aa and this item once get to level 10 hardly moves. That is my arguement not that its hard so be it keep the thing the same way it won't effect my ability to play. My only thinking was to just open it to all mobs that give experience!

Travel back in time and get the level 20 Tears of Alaris before it was patched and made easier to level up. (AKA, people got this if they had the level 20 tear before it was patched and made faster to level up.) Speaking of leveling up the Tear, did the patch change anything with Legendary Fragments of Alaris? Or is it still best to not use them until your tear is around level 14 or so, so you get the most benefit from them?
When it hits level 20, just right click it and it turns into the type 3 aug. Check out my magelo it's in my belt.
It's best not to use them until you have enough to max it in one go. So if yours is at the start of level 14, then don't start clicking fragments until you got 6x20 fragments.
So did they change the way fragments work in that they give a flat 5% increase, despite its level? Or did they always work like that? I've just been hoarding them for the time being. Thanks for the reply.
Its a flat 5% now, yes, so was a pretty significant nerf in the low teens and much better at the highest levels. Still better to save them for later though, since 5% of level 19 is a lot more kills worth than 5% at level 12.
i have read some posts that said that folks saved up their Alaran fragments. I thought that these were "temporary" items, so how can you save them?
They are not no rent. So mass kill alarans or run tasks to evolve it to 12.5-15 and then farm yourself 100-125 tablets. Some wise dev even made them stack to a big #. I finished with ~84 farmed so they'll stack to at least 100!
