So let me make sure I got this all straight

I had more trouble in TBL (even a week before ToV launched, so gear has not changed) than I have had in ToV.

I have not been to GMM since ToV launch. Has it changed?

I've run Darkness howls a couple of times since the patch and HA changes. I box a cleric/ranger/sk with 3 caster mercs. The cleric and ranger are in mainly TBL t3/gmm, and the SK is in mainly TBL t2/gmm with some conflagrant bits here and there and not even remotely close to max AA. All 3 are 111.

In all honesty, I didn't notice any difference in the mob diffculty. On single pulls, the cleric does nothing other than toss on a direct heal at the start for the Abundant Healing recourse. On 2 mobs, I do have to heal, but not spam heals. I usually don't do more than that because I suck at boxing.

The base zone mobs are even easier. Take what you will out of that.

This happen in the 38th second early this morning. Only running into this occasionally. Took 1 sec to kill me.

I died a few times last night in ToV to surprise hits of ~50k. I didn't have any big defensive buffs wear off, it was just ~20k hits for a few minutes then POW, quads in the kisser. I don't really mind it so much, just means I can't rest on my laurels in a fight even if it feels like I have it under control, but it does feel like a bug of some kind.

Best expansion ever released. Unfortunately it didn't have the level raise it was supposed to. I still think uqua is the best designed raid zone in the game. Far better than the garbage simon says they have now.

Thosgromri Warmgranite is weird. he also went through my group like a hot knife through butter once deflect faded, and I was able to kill most T2 nameds that I encountered without big issues. Not sure if I don't understand a mechanic there or if he's meant to hit that fast.

And regarding the OP, I don't know why you would think ToV is overtuned. The mobs have a lot of HP, that's true, but they don't hit very hard and the golems in Chardok also had a lot of HP back then for example. If I can go into T2 zones at launch night and kill nameds without leveling up, gearing or getting AAs, I don't know how you can say this is too hard (and no, my tank is not in raid gear).

The hit sizes aren't the problem there, it's that he hit 12 times in the same second (look at the time stamps). He did that to me as well ... (well, don't know if it was 12 times as well but essentially he didn't stop hitting until his target was dead).

Edit: I just looked at my logs. During the first 5 seconds (!) of deflect, he tried to hit me 143 times. Not really survivable without deflect/shield flash etc ...

But the golems do pay out far more exp.

However, what I have experienced of ToV, it's tuned pretty well.

Mobs have had North of 20m HP's since CoTF .. next ..

Eff that place its two expansions old now. And no zone thats two expansions old should be the best xp in game for current content.

GMM is not in ToV and every ToV zone I've been in has had 10x the population that GMM ever had of players .. so if you can't get GMM namers on your server . Thats a YOU problem .. not a ToV expansion problem.

Yeah no issues with ToV atm but haven't really done much. Though I am not so worried how I will do but more how more average players will do.

The hit they took in GMM changes was depressing though. Why make GMM harder once it is only relevant to gearing up for ToV? I dunno maybe they want to make it too hard for FTP in advance of it becoming a free expansion.

I get a LOT of returning players in my guild either folks needing just a casual guild or people with us to level up and apply to raid guilds. The current GMM tuning was a slap in the face to these folks. Making catch up content harder was silly in my opinion when folks are less likely to get groups and have to molo for the TBL gear to get ready for ToV. No matter how ToV is tuned right now I advice folks to at least get all the non vis gear from GMM first if they are a box group or can't do the content with better geared guildies (tanks in particular).

I personally did not see anything different in GMM as I ran Darkness howls. Course I just box it , an I play safely .. pulling only 2-4 at a time .. with CCing 1-3 at a time..

My strat's all about 100% control every single time.

Couple returning peeps in my guild had just started doing GMM before the expansion came out. They were boxing a couple toons and getting done carefully but slowly. Since they they keep getting wiped. I agree that at a certain skill and gear level some of us won't see the difference. People just starting to gear up in TBL/GMM trying to gear up do seem to be seeing problems.
