Simplification of AA's in patch

I really like the simplification of AA's in most recent patch. Boxing, I could never remember which spire did what. Likewise with the consolidation of AA's in other lines. It had just gotten too darn complicated to keep track of it all. With a few less buttons to push it is actually more fun.

If you get a refund that takes you over 220, do you need to spend the extras before you log or before you can gain more? I’m trying to bank them for the expansion and want to know if I have to avoid logging in before it launches.

the max a 110 character can earn is 220
the max a 110 character can hold is 330

not playing for a month seems like a pretty enormous cost to save a couple hours of playing after release

Eh, I’m at max AA for a warrior and even bought all the glyphs I can use. I’ll play an alt like I’ve done for a month. I have my main parked at 99.999% and 220 AAs but sometimes I log onto the account for bank items. Just want to know if it’s safe. Thanks for the info!

why did they remove soothing words? wasn't useful to who? our enchanters used it all the time.

Here is the description. Reducing main target hatred doesn't seem useful:

This ability, when activated, attempts to reduce your target's hatred for their current target by 5000 points if that creature's target is a member of your group or raid. Ranks 4-6 reduce the reuse time of this ability by 4 minutes per rank.

this is how enchanters would save themselves when they pulled too much aggro for example from a resisted mez. it was very useful. they could also cast it on the mob to save an overzealous cleric

How is a cleric getting agro?
  9. Drayman Elder

    Not sure if serious.

Oh I'm serious, cleric heals are so low agro that when I'm playing my paladin the only way the cleric is getting agro is if I'm doing nothing at all maybe a rogue add from left field will quickly smack me. When I play my cleric the only time I have issues is when the tank isn't doing his fricken job.

Haven't logged in my maxed out shaman yet, suspect she will have something in the order of 600 AA's refunded after all is said and done. Not a big deal to me just playing my neglected shammy

Neglected one had 487 AA which I quickly spent.

Consider none of them safe till the xpac release. Give that alt a lot of love.
  12. CatsPaws Just getting rid of the old

My chanter was near max on banked AA and when I logged her on I received a message she could not earn anymore till some were spent. So whatever the refund would have been was lost.

Not every group has a player tank. pets don't hold agro that well. I have been in groups where a monk or bard was tanking. Their agro management can make for tricky situations.

Not sure if there is a difference between clerics and druids as far as heal agro goes but I have pulled agro healing on my druid before. Especially if we don't have a real tank and things go sideways.

Also on raids, if an off tank dies, the healer healing him could be in real trouble.

Anyway, these are a couple ways I can think that a healer could find itself on top of the hate list.

Do like the PLers do. Esp. if you are talking about MAX exp tank or healer... put them in non exp group and then put your others that you want to get EXP in a separate group.

My main is an enchanter. There are too many other ways to drop aggro (or just tank it until tank pulls off you). With this ability, you could easily take aggro away from the tank if he had just taunted it off you.
