Silly Ranger Question

So, I started a Ranger, equipped a bow and arrows. I clicked on a target and pushed the ranged attack button. However, nothing happens. Is there a Ranger guide somewhere about the very basic of playing this character?
Or what the heck am I doing wrong? I have only been about to use the sword.

So using the "Ranged Attack" ability/hot button only fires one arrow at a time. You'll have to go to your social tab and create a macro. Name it ranged and the command is /autofire

So now as long as you have ammo equipped it'll continue to fire on cooldown until you run out

Another thing to consider is how close you are to the mob. Different bows, arrows and player levels can affect if your close enough to hit the mob.

If you are too far away it will look like your not shooting too. If you run out of arrows you won't see anything happening either. So make a ton of arrows until you get the AA endless arrow

There are a lot of guides out there if you google them but there are friendly people in chat that can help you also. And there is a sub forum here under class discussions then hybrid (that's what rangers are)

It might seem a lot at the start but Rangers are one of the most fun classes to play. We can do it all

Also note that if you have even slightly different arrows available, the auto shoot does not recognize that. You must realign the arrows for each tiny change.

Your are right and I just tested that. But I could had swear that it got changed to work like the attack button some years ago when /autofire off got added because I wrote down a note for this.
