Bug with the Bursting Shadow Mechanic

Currently you do not receive a message when bursting shadow hits you, nor a system message that this is happening.

I was hit with this recently and did not find the "The darkness within you starts to grow." text in the log file. I did receive these messages during BETA, but they looked to be assigned to Darkening Heart?

Right now I have a trigger looking for this next and have to voice call for everyone to check their debuffs and run away.

I completed this raid both Saturday and Monday and did not notice any problems with it. Do you have your dbg.txt to determine which instance you received?

From what I have seen people are tracking those for lag. I can grab it next run.

So according to spell data both those spells are using the same Text.
Text: The darkness inside you begins to grow.

The issue is no visibility to Bursting Shadow. It is highly unlikely that 2 Spells in the same event, would give the same msg when they land. I suggest people look for the "Zun Zethon Vius begins casting Bursting Shadow." and see if the people getting hit have any text in their logs.

This should be easy to verify from the player or Dev side.

Take a closer look at the text.

Not every spell is enable to use land on text but it needs to be in the spell data. On the beta forum Absor explicitly told us we had to have post effects on for Bursting Shadow.

Absor never mentioned this when, when we raided with him.

This is what he posted, which just states it should have a post effect.

The dark casters (Zun Zethon Vius)

Each will pick one target and cast Bursting Shadow on them (should have post effect). This is a doom spell that will cast Erupting Darkness, a point blank area of effect damage spell for hit points and mana when the duration expires.


NOTE: These guys can cast on the same targets as the Zun Zethon Tian, since the response to both should be to run away to a safe place"
