I can't find much info on how much Feral helps. My group is (level 92) war brd ber mag shm and a healer merc. I vaguely remember reading a post on Feral from a long time ago and in that post they only recommened if you have a backstabber in your group. Will using Feral improve the melee dps enough to justify using it ? I know this is not the mag thread but would a water pet benefit from Feral more than a air pet ?
Feral has 4 bits 1: Transform Body Type to Animal 3: Increase 1H Blunt Damage Taken by 15% 4: Increase 2H Blunt Damage Taken by 15% 5: Decrease Chance to Hit by 8% the first bit makes it not land on any undead or construct or plant, and in turn prevents nec/dru from landing their Bones/Vines debuffs the lines marked 3 & 4 increase the damage of blunt weapons (not anything to do with rogues, dunno where that came from) the last line debuffs the mob's melee on the tank, that modifier is weaker than all enchanter versions of the same
Being restricted to certain mob types makes it overall not worth the spell slot. Use it on another DoT, or nuke.
