You need to have done the ornament quest 3 times total. Once for the 1.0, once for the 2.0, once for the retelling. At least when I did the bard one, this was how it worked. I got the successful emote on my second time through (I only did this once when the original ornaments came out), then was able to claim the retelling reward after my third completion.

A special weapon ornamentation for each class. If you go see the Elf Lady in Fewethe, you can see them all hung up on the walls near where she stands.
If you paint the floor with blood in the shape of the Neriak symbol, stand in front of a full-height mirror, and chant "Surprised, mortals?" three times, Dzarn appears in a cloud of smoke and tells you how to get a 10/10 evil rating.
