I don't think that that math checks out. I think with a weapon out the ripostes are actually creating additional strikes of damage that wouldnt happen with a snowcone on, in fact I am sure thats happening. The question will be what will happen as we skip over the mobs ability to riposte and move down the protocol to dodge and shield block stuff. We know that dodge wont do anything on raids and I don't even think shield will matter. So the mobs will still hit me, but without the benefit of additional riposte strikes in the mix. The mobs max hit and average hit should still be the same, it will come down to the total number of strikes I receive which may be harder to qualify with so many other variables at play. Am I tanking more or fewer mobs? Do other tanks die and I tank their assignments? How long are the mobs alive and I am actively tanking? etc.
