Hello fellow players, it has been a a very long time since I played EQ. I want to say maybe 15 years ? I find it kind of funny still seeing my char name (luisagos) on google search engines. Kind of crazy those still exist. I have couple of questions, before I start playing again. Can they still retrieve my old account from the SOE days? Also I planned to start on Aradune server. I want to feel the same way I felt 20 years ago. Does those servers still drop nerf loot that EQ over the years later stop dropping? I remember the eye summoning thingy, I use to lifetap the heck of it, lol. I forgot the name. : ( Well thank you, hoping to see you all in the game soon.
Yes, it is possible to get your old account back. Someone will hopefully link to the forum post on how to do it. It depends on the nerf loot you are talking about. Some items no longer drop after a certain period of time, or they never drop at all. Circlet of Shadow doesn't drop after a certain time, I forgot when. I believe both Mana Stone and Holgresh Elder Beads never do drop. This is the item that you are referring to. I am not sure if you can still lifetap it or not still. It is possible to still get it when the Gamblers' Den is open up in Shadow Haven. I don't think it unlocks with luclin. It would be very hard to get in Luclin as Gold Tickets are very rare and getting the plat to buy them would be hard in that era. Hard in the sense you can't simply dump 1 million plat like live servers.

Provide as many details as possible about the old account (email address, characters on the account on which server, etc). Aradune is in Velious now, soon to be Luclin. It's your best bet for the old school experience, but understand it's a relatively top heavy server at this point. Most active players have at least one level 60 character. There will be new beastlord alts leveling up soon, so that's a good opportunity for some low level grouping. Holgresh Elder Beads still exists, but is extraordinarily rare until a server unlocks the loyalty vendor (Underfoot or HoT era, I forget which, very far off for Aradune). Technically you can obtain it from the Shadow Haven casino in Luclin, but as Marttin mentioned it's a ridiculous plat sink.
WB! If you do recover your old account it will be known as Silver which is a free account but a step up from regular Free To Play (F2P) however if you want to play on Aradune then you will have to pay. It might be a good idea to start a new level 1 character on a free account (or your old account if you get that back) and run thru the tutorial on live servers just to get an idea of how to play and things that have changed. Then you can switch to Aradune if you still want to. Holgresh Elder Beads are actually very easy to get from the casino on live servers or TLP that have it unlocked like was mentioned above. Don't bother with plat. If you get your old account back you will have max loyalty tokens - 5760. Now with that you can buy a Gold Ticket from the loyalty vendor - 960 tokens. Players will also have them for sale in the baz. You turn in the gold ticket and get a specific lore item. It could be the Holgresh Elder Beads. In that case you got it with just one ticket. At the most you would have to turn in no more than 8 Gold tickets. There are specific lore items doing it this way and most folks do it for the mount or the dark elf illusion mask. Old Man McKenzie used to sell Gold Tickets also but not sure if he still does
Thank you all, I just did request, I am hoping I get it back, I put way too many hours on the Char, lol. I am starting to remember some of it now. Yes it was the Holgresh Elder Beads.
You can use stalking probe (a tinkered item) to cast an eye to life tap until you get the holgresh elder beads.
Good Day everyone, i have found my old account were i played EQ in 2000 @ Drinal Server, however i can't find my old character , and i can't see any Token from the account, the only thing i can see is the account isn't F2P account, it is a silver account, is it normal and what should I do? thanks alot
