I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question: At level 115 group geared toon, is there ANY NEED for buffs that straight up increase resists or stats such as: Guard of Druzzil https://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=3242&source=Live Shared Merciless Ferocity https://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=36423&source=Live Talisman of the Tribunal https://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=3384&source=Live Protection of Seasons https://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=3444&source=Live ETC... I am a NECRO so for instance the FERO line I care NOT for the triple attack. Same goes for the bloody Ranger buffs... I care not for Attack stuff so I block that. Anything with HP or AC of course I do not block. However, if we ARE HARD maxed on our resists just based on all our base stats from our armour, do any of these buffs do anything? I would surmise maybe, possibly, if a mob casts some sort of massive spell that LOWERS our base resists that THEN these would come into effect. But my God I am so buff locked. I have very happy trigger friends who cast everything on me but the kitchen sink. I never know WHAT to drop. I mean I know the basics and reading the descriptions... but I am confused about buffs that INCREASE resists or even STATS but NOT "overcap"... just straight up stats. Do I remove those? This would be for group content NOT raid stuff. Might I ask the raiders and/or the greats that always help and provide answers like I see daily when I read these forums, like Sancus or Szilent, Skuz, Svann2, Catspaws, Cadira, Jhenna, Tocoh etc...(I am sorry if I missed folks, no disrespect), what your BUFF WINDOW looks like before you go unleash hell? I spend 5 minutes clicking buffs off each day before missions. ARG. What are the buffs you cannot LIVE without (from other toons, not self cast or clickies). I know it might look different from your raid vs group stuff. Man, I would gladly spend 250 AA's to get 5 more buff slots... I swear! Heck 500 AA's. Easy to come by.
The extra resist will not help once capped, no. Furthermore many spells are unresistible anyway and resist stat would be irrelevant. Likewise a theoretical heroic resist would be of limited use for the same reason.
Indeed. For raids, it would just bypass like striketrough I guess. But maybe for group stuff.... maybe.... but yah anything that cannot be resisted would just make it moot.
Not sure if you know, there are command line commands for blocking/unblocking buffs. Maybe some hotkeys would help to quickly block/unblock the ones you don't want for missions.
