Request: Original Dragons - Nagafen and Vox

I'll explain it again. Nagafen and Vox are killed regularly. You want a software change, that does nothing but allow them to be killed very slightly more often. A change which, if it was necessary, would be far more easily accomplished by simply lowering the DZ timer.

Would you at least agree that removing the level 52 cap would be slightly beneficial to the players with no detrimental effects? I mean I do agree it's a minor issue either way. If it was complex to change and diverted a lot of developer time from other projects, it wouldn't really be worthwhile. But if it's a simple 5 minutes spent changing one variable, it would be a net positive for everyone right?

You're wasting your time mate. Imo the best possible outcome at this point is someone at EQ HQ has seen the thread and thought to themselves "you know what, yeah, at this point in EQ's career this naggy/vox level cap thing is kind of useless, I suppose it's free content if I disable it ..."

In other words, you don't need to convince Fell or Waring, just hope the reasons resonate with someone who actually can make a difference :)

For everyone? Lol, no of course not. Naggy and Vox would then be no different than Phinigel. A box crew would time and perma-camp them, and get all or nearly all the spawns. I imagine the motivation behind your desire for this change.

If you really wanted to help everyone to more Naggy/Vox spawns, you'd advocate for the much easier change -- lower slightly their DZ timer. But that wouldn't help you, would it?

You keep failing to address why it is a major problem that people not killing the open world versions when it seems they don't want to make the effort of it. What confuses me is why is this suddenly a major issue after live gets agents of changes and the ability for anyone to kill them once a week? If those mobs had value in killing besides the fact that they are up players would make an effort to kill them. And please don't give some lame example of having to do some super hard quest to kill them each time they spawn. The simple fact is there is a requirement for killing them that isn't that hard to achieve if someone wants to kill them.

I asked what the restriction is "useful" for. Your words. What's it useful for?

Time and perma-camp them? Do you literally not play this game or what? Just trolling forums for the funzies? This is not 2001 anymore. Timing and perma-camping a raid mob is simply not a thing due to the spawn variance introduced many years ago. But of course I'm sure you know that, since you thought they spawned once a week just a few posts ago.

I'm a single account player if that for some reason matters to you.

Even in your nonsensical scenario of some hypothetical boxer "timing" the spawn to perma-camp it (which again is not a thing) it would still go from being killed zero times during a several month window to being killed dozens of times in the same window, thus introducing more loot and epic items to the server and opening up the Rokyl camp for hunter achievement seekers. Who would this hypothetical scenario be negative for?

And what is removing the restriction useful for? It was added in order to giver lower levels a target to kill because once RoK is launched it can be killed by 1-2 players. As it is the restriction is not preventing anyone from getting in their dragon kills anymore because they can just use an agent of change. You have still failed to address what is the problem with it not being killed every time it spawns in the open world? What is going to be gained by having a box crew lock it down? It isn't a hard target to kill so once people learn its spawn schedule it will just become a race to who can kill it first. In the end only a limited few are going to be getting all those extra kills.

Stop embarrassing yourself. On Thornblade, OW Phinny was timed and perma-camped by one boxer all through Kunark and even Velious. This one person got more than 50% of all total spawns over this period ... if you count his friend he traded off with, they got probably 80% of the spawns.

Variance doesn't prevent you from timing a mob. You show up when the mob enters window, and wait till it spawns. Or simply camp your box at the spawn when the mob's in window. This is so basic and common a tactic, I can't decide if you're being disingenous or simply clueless.

Nagafen and Vox are killed continually during this period. The OW spawn is no different than the DZ spawn. And the Rokyl achievement is doable by anyone and everyone as well. Again: are you lying, or do you just not play the game at all?
