Ranger melee criticals pre-AA?

    Hi guys first time poster, long time forum browser.

    I was playing on the live servers leveling a ranger, when I look in my log and see that I have been criting on my MELEE! I am only lvl 39, and yes I know rangers can crit on bow hits at low levels but when did pre-AA crits come into play?
    Is this for all melee?
    will it carry over to TLP?

    After searching the forums I could find any one talking about this, i might have not been searching the right terms.

    Ah! Right you are Chaos my new Flawed Defiant Sleeves give Cleave 1.
    I have been looking through the AA's for the past 20-30mins thinking I must have missed something!
