Remake the entire game with instanced content and bind on equip. Create multiple types of servers with different play styles. Advertise and call it EQNEXT! Require a sub to play. Let the profits come in.

The reason is their liability, what is DBG liability here if they fail to listen to customers?

This is EXACTLY why some top end people dont want it instanced. They'd have to develop a personality in order to keep their loot pinata rolling and that just isnt feasible when you consider the types that infest the top end.

Look over the history of each and every TLP, heck look to even the live servers, and note the consolidation of "hardcores" into at most one or two guilds even capable of doing current era content. Yet at the start of each server there were tons of aspiring "raiding" guilds that have had their teams bleed out because they refuse to use underhanded tactics to pull in the "contested" content.

Potential raiders are given the choice of raiding with sociopaths or not raiding at all. Tough decision.

I'm for dz instancing of the raids. I havent seen a counter-argument that has a long term vision yet. Surprise me.

    Old or new post? Link?

It's in the "Raid Changes coming in July" sticky. That is the devs stance on this topic.
  7. Storytimebros Elder

That is probably the worst excuse to not have to change the content just so Krono sales continue.

How long are we going to beat the drum of raid instancing? The developers have said no multiple times. We get it, you don't like it. If you want instanced mmorpg raiding, there's like 500 other mmorpgs that fit the bill. How about you just chill out and let the people who don't want instancing enjoy the one game on the market that fills that niche.

Whining more about this is an exercise in futility.

The reason for why a restaurant would not serve a well done steak has absolutely nothing to do with liability and you are completely deluded if you think those establishments don't exist.

Send that Aristo quote, along with Holly's quote to Columbus Nova..
I am sure they would like to know how the "lead" people are treating the people that bring the revenue.

That was before the huge fallout from Holly's post. I'm curious whether that is still the stance. DBG has been eerily quiet for a few days. They either gave up even talking to the casuals, or they're working on a solution. That decision is going to sway a lot of subs one way or the other.

The leads are defending their stance to the real boss (CN).
They have been instructed to not post anything without running it through legal and PR.

Poorly worded, fair enough. But these examples are equally irrelevant. Even if BK advertises "have it your way" - if you tried to ask for a taco at BK, they are going to say "we don't have that" and no matter how much you argue, they aren't going to put a taco on the menu (well - you know never know ;) )

In your steak example if you went to a steakhouse that advertised its product as "we do not cook well-done steaks" and then you go in and try to order a well done steak - yes, they might say go elsewhere. Do they potentially alienate some customers? Sure and eventually it might prove to be a poor business practice to alienate all the sub-human individuals who like well-done steak, but they might decide to do it because that is how they choose to run the restaurant.

Casual venture capital firms don't deserve to make money.

Jaxarale sounds like the kind of guy that would have a meltdown that a high end restaurant or country club would turn him away for showing up in jorts and flip flops. The customer is always right but these places continue to exist profitably? HOW COULD THAT BE!?!?!

But it's not a well done steak. It's a restaurant that sells steaks and encourages customers to steal steaks from other customers when they could easily ensure no steaks are stolen.

You keep making apples and oranges comparisons. Stop.

I don't want a different steak, I want to eat the steak I paid for without getting mugged.

    Hi Greg. :)

    jack-in the box has tacos.

But getting mugged is part of the experience you paid for.

    Now gimme all your Krono.
