Quietly removing Krono from Accounts is Unacceptable!

    This is tantamount to theft.
Krono are a cash purchased commodity you offer. Someone paid you for them, that generates the Tradeable item.
It is not the players fault who acquired this item from another player that you can't get a handle on this issue.

It makes total sense to delete the krono once it is charged back, no issue with that. But if your going to handle it that way, you need to contact the player your taking the item from. This silent theft scheme your pulling is robbing players who have not wronged your company in any way. Do Better

I thought I was missing some kronos, so started keeping better track of them now. That would be infuriating if DB took some...

My immediate curiosity is about how you might know the krono that were allegedly removed had fraudulent origin.

I'm making that assumption as they were removed, and this is a known issue in how Daybreak is handling the current chargeback fraud. It's been reported multiple times, and they are refunding plat for lost krono. But only to those people who happen to notice it's missing in the first place. Which begs the question why are they removing them without notification.

Could you think of any other reasons to remove krono from an account??

I went from 5 krono to 4 krono on my other account, and no one said a thing to me until I sent in a report. I kept looking at my krono number and thinking that isn't right. The GM gave me the plat within a day, so it didn't take very long to "correct."

Are you sure of your facts? Doesnt seem likely to me. Got a cite (besides someone said)? How would they even know how much plat to give?

I can confirm that I got like 3500 plat on Tormax which doesn't have TLP auctions following the plat number. How did they come up with the number. I have no idea. No one would trade 3500 plat for a krono when I tried. :(

I still am showing all my Krono, but I am not on TLP

If this is actually happening and purchased krono are being removed due to a chargeback it is unlikely going to be a single trade that was involved. It is more likely that the krono involved took part in many trades as well as the items that it was traded for. As the number of trades increase it becomes more and more difficult to track down all the activity and properly unwind it.

    Down with generic Krono!

Bruh… you don’t modify someone’s account without notifying them prior to doing so and providing them an acceptable remedy. It’s not reasonable to expect the average player to vet every encounter they have with other players. The REAL consumers are always getting pooped on by DP. The previous statement is my 2 cents.

Have you reached out to support and asked them about the krono that is missing and confirmed it was them removing it from your account?

And note I am not making any comments on the communication around this sort of issue, rather a statement about why nothing can be done about the removal.

No paying customer should be in a scenario to begin with. They, the customers, should be properly notified and compensated for it. The customer service from SoE back in 1999 was better than this.

I have seen two krono go missing from my inventory. I didn't report it right away (my fault). I was told to they couldn't help me.

And here is the issue. No one has reported this happening to Krono they purchased from Daybreak thru the website.

It is all the second hand Krono - bought from another player or bought from suspicious "nail saloons" that are just fronts for Krono farmers or even those untrusted internet sites that also send you rip off computers that blow up in your face.

Many of you have no concept of the tremendous number of recent blemishes removed from the game. I feel they have tracked the product those blemishes produced and those specific Krono are the ones getting recalled because they were obtained thru less than legal methods.

    Buyer beware.

A statement from Daybreak about the issue would be helpful. And for emphasis,

The entire purpose of krono is to be second hand, noone buys krono to pay for their accounts. A sub is cheaper. Krono is bought to sell for in game items/currency, and bought from players to resell/trade, or pay subs.

It's original cash value is why it has in game value. If that is eroded by daybreak making it a gamble, it has no value.

If I purchase a krono from another player, that is concrete value. That is a stable appreciating asset. Until now that is.

The issue is the people who are doing this to scam Daybreak out of money are doing it in a way to make it as complicated as possible who is a legitimate customer and who is attempting to scam the system. It isn't always possible to undo the web of trades and compensate everyone and in cases like this you should be happy you didn't consume the krono and get a ban.
  20. Tappin Augur

I’m sure they have to deal with a lot of scams in general… But we don’t know if some of these are self inflicted. But regardless, they should be making the customers aware of what is going on at bare minimum or if it’s large enough just do the rollback that everyone one hates.
