How many TLP launches have had issues due to the number of people trying to log in bringing the server/servers to their knees? Sure some servers can be merged but there is no way they could support the level of server merges you are talking about.
I wouldn't really be interested in Leveling another toon up on another server if I could move my Main "temporarily" to open up grouping / raiding opportunities on other servers. I am not even talking about exp and loot, I would play more just to have fun and play with people that have moved to another server or I've met in EQ. I have Heroic toons on at least 3 servers I never touch because A. Getting to level is a pain and B. Getting them geared to a level that was raidable would be an even bigger pain.
