[Phinigel] Luclin Expedition Issues: T-12

    Few things we noticed testing out on test lately:

    1. Instances have a 2.5d base lockout once triggered. Once the end boss is killed, this updated to 6.5d. This should be changed to a mechanic similar to ToV -- where the base lockout is six hours (duration of the expedition), with the final boss providing a 4.5d lockout like Vulak, the end boss of ToV. Guilds shouldn't have to wait 3 days to go back to finish expeditions.

    2. Cazic Thule (The revamped zone) does not have an Agent of Change. There are four raids located in the revamped zone - The Ring of Slime, The Ring of Fire, Escort the Gnome, and Horror Construct. Said mobs should have the mitigation buff, as they meet the mitigation buff criteria.

    (Ring of Slime: Trigger "a swirling ooze", a bubbling ooze, a boiling ooze, an acidic mass.

    3. Ssraeshza - High Priest sometimes spawns twice on top of himself and adds do not respawn in his event.

    4. Vex Thal - Diabo Xi Xin Thall did not generate a lockout upon death.

    5. Lord Inquisitor Seru - Praesertums should have the MOTM buff, and should be accessible in the instances. They meet the criteria to be MOTM buffed. To access the inner sanctum, I would suggest creating an NPC in the instance that recognizes an arx key (The unlimited group port to the inner sanctum) and teleports the raid upon request into the inner sanctum.

    These changes would improve the quality of raiding on Phinigel.

    If anyone has any additional feedback/changes they would like to see, I encourage you to post under this thread. Any changes should be patched about two weeks into Luclin, pending developer action.

    Awareness and discussion on some of these new issues are the biggest factors here. Prior posts have been locked and there has been no developer feedback in nearly two weeks. Although if the moderators wish, they're welcome to merge this thread.

    Guilds absolutely should be able to go back into Vex Thal, or Ssraeszha Temple without waiting nearly 3 days to revisit. ToV style was perfect.

    Firstly, you should be using the thread in which this is already being discussed, not starting new threads. you don't even need to search its right on the front page.

    Secondly,

    OMG. Be careful what you ask for. If they add MOTM (which is easy) without completely revamping the instance to spawn them (which is hard) it will be so much worse than it is right now. The Praesertum's are NOT currently spawning in the instance and therefore would only be available in the Main pick real world instead of the current situation where at least they are available in pick zones.

    Absor responded a week ago in the Luclin thread and it seems they do monitor it. If you have actual concerns about Luclin you should recopy your post in that thread. Asking them to track multiple threads to discuss issues is pretty silly and lowers the chances that you'll have your feedback reviewed.

    Do us all a favor and keep these things to one thread.

    Absor has already taken a pass at the Praesertums. They originally had MotM, like all other Luclin mobs. When the issue was raised that they did not spawn instances, and only spawned in main picks, Absor made the decision to remove MotM from them, rather than making it so they spawn in instances. This has already been addressed, and we should leave the system as it is now, so it does not end up being even worse than it already is.

    The Praesertums also banish with the ability here.

    With the current setup, some will pet tank them down to prevent them from banishing players. This is one of the reasons MOTM was put in, to prevent pet tanking. You literally can have 6 mages monopolize all the Praesertums in it's current iteration. The banish was changed the same time the Trakanon banish was changed, so we shouldn't see players get banished to the base zone anymore.

    Best bet is to scrap the current instance, remake it with the entire population of the zone, MOTM the Praesertums, and have an NPC inside the zone port the raid into the inner sanctum when someone has an Arx key.

    Agree with Dima's points, especially the Praesertums and Vex Thal.

    The current system will also allow guilds to force picks to kill Praesertums, which gives them the ability to get the Key. If the Praesertum's are easy enough for a 6 mages to kill them in their current iteration, any guild with the ability to kill Seru can split their raid 4 ways, get most of their people in position, force a pick and take all 4 down without giving a chance for the mage bots to snipe 1 or 2 of them.

    While the current situation is not Ideal, and I agree with you on the fact that having them just spawn in the instance would be the better situation, the last thing I want to do is make things even worse than they are right now.

    They lock the additional threads because they want to keep all the discussion in one place to make it easy to follow.

    Just because the devs do not respond, doesn't mean they don't read the threads.
