Phantom Aggressor aggro loss ?

    Hello all,

Have someone else noticed loosing sometimes suddenly aggro and thinking Phantom Aggressor could be the reason ? Most of the time i have np with this but recently i was tanking Captain Wilson mini in ToR raid, i had a pally in my group

I was chaining all my aggro short stuff refresh on this guy (no Projection of Fury used), players in my group were at 1 % in the aggro meter, suddenly the paladin went melee one time the mini in range, i lost aggro right away

And i trust the paladin saying he did nothing to grab aggro (no 100% taunt used) this thing happened each time he went in the range of Wilson

I know from the past that Phantom Aggressor could be responsible of a sudden aggro loss from 1% in aggro meter to loosing aggro (it happened yet to me, and some other wars reported that rarely they loose aggro with no reason after using Phantom aggressor), but the regularity of my aggro loss going from 1 % in aggro meter to loosing aggro like this fears me, and i don't see any other aggro ability that we have that could explain it

What could have happened (is it the mob using special aggro ruleset) ?
Has anyone found now what could provoke this sudden aggro loss of Phantom Aggressor ?

It means you went over the hate cap try using rage of the forsaken less if you are ?

It doesn't take much the way it is broken atm.

With a few misdirection's a rage of the forsaken combined with phantom at the beginning and all our other hate abilities.

It's like you just randomly lost hate like you were blurred or something correct and the pet is still up ?

You can use an instant taunt to restart the hate but sometimes it still doesn't fix it.

It could also be a rogue pet or other pet with taunt on and you just got a little out of melee range and can't tell because you have phantom aggressor up.

what mak said u reatched the hate cap. once ppl are at 1% aggro u need to pace yourself and use other stuff =). a good messurement to know when enough is enough is when u dont see mage pets on more then few % of your aggro thats u know u wont have to worrie about aggro again.

Also keep in mind dont use Rage of the Forsaken in raids with adds currently its broken as all balls and will get u killed.

also if all your doing is spamming aggro stuff keep in mind you should be useing so many more things to help your heal team out to keep you alive. its your job to hold aggro AND take as little dmg as humanly possible. Dont just focus on the aggro thing we have best singel target aggro in the game even without rage of the forsaken and blast of anger (lol)

Oh, now that I think of it, compared to the other tor raid when I tanked Wilson, I think that I used rage of the forsaken each time it was up and when no adds were going to pop of minis, when I didn't use Rage at all the former try

I didn't know there was a maximum hate cap, so if I understand when you reach the max hate cap it reset completly to 0 ?
I knew that there was a hate cap at start (150 hate according to Tearsin tank guide) , that can be bypassed by aggro stuff of tank classes, but there is also a maximum hate cap after this ?

    Thanks for answers guys :)

Hitting hate cap resets your hate? What? And if so, why isn´t this being fixed yesterday? ;) Actually had an SK take aggro from me on AMH in RoT raid the other night, thought he was doing something he shouldn't but after reading this im not so sure.

Edit: No way this is normal behaviour... I've used everything, including forsaken and rallos and all our other stuff after hitting forsaken and if I didn't hit the cap then, I never will. And I never lost aggro to anyone like that, except on that RoT raid versus AMH.

Hitting a hate cap doesn't explain the behaviour I have seen.

I click phantom on one mob, and if phantom is still up when it dies, the pet moves to the next mob. No matter how much hate I have developed on the second mob, 9 times out of 10 he will wipe aggro completely after a few seconds of the pet turning on it. I don't know if it happens as the pet poofs or what.

I clearly would not have hit a hate cap on the second mob if I did not on the first mob.

I get this a lot also. It's stupid. All my aggro from any secondary mob is wiped clean if phantom attacks.
