After the September patch, a rumour started that pet weapons were effecting pet dps adversely. Has this been confirmed, or was it an initial assessment of the Theft of Essence bug, which is being fixed in October?
Sounds like something that can be tested easily enough with the test dummies that can be placed in the guild halls or in the arena on test.
Probably Theft of Essence bug that will be getting fixed. Weapons really do not do much for pets regardless, so doubtful they would be hindering DPS unless something wonky was done inadvertently.
A few patches back, certain types of weapons used to decrease pet dps, for example only 1hb helped but h2h or 1hs made it worse. I'm not an expert, but I think Boze had a post about this. I wonder if a similar bug crept back in.
