Yes and no. many times the ranger has died to 2 mobs (stunz n all that) but mage splits them and solos them down.

Again, as I said at the start, it's not easy, but most classes can't even do one mob (non full blown disc) consistently.

mages seem to have just grow used to being OP. Oh darn 2 mobs in a hard zone is rough for my DPS caster class to tank and DPS at the same time!!!

I'm not calling for nerfs, but if mages are I'll dump the mage and make a SK!!! =D

I really wana start a SK, but issue is then I'd have to come up with another Avory sounding looking name. =(

If you can't seperate two mobs as a ranger, though, perhaps you should try farmville instead.

If you can consistently single pull droga as a ranger then you are a better ranger than me. Our knock back root has taken a serious hit in effectiveness lately with tons of resists. Like there is any room in droga to knock back mobs to anyway.

Avery is partially correct. The big question is should a ranger be able to out tank a mage pet? Given that the class is supposed to be warrior (and druid) based I think so, but for many years this wasn't the case.

Oh - according to some people who argue just like avery, magicians are hybrids of warriors and wizards. I'd like to suggest that you people get together somewhere else and slug it out between your two groups and just tell us mages your stipulation.

Believe it or not Cover tracks, fluster and bluster can all fail... maybe you have to play a ranger to know. And not everything snares and roots!

Haven't read the whole thread but Daybreak may be trying to gently try and push people back to relying on player characters instead of mercs. I also don't rely on mercs enough to be able to tell how much weaker they have become but I am assuming this has become the case.

I can see two possible reasons . They could be doing it to encourage adding more real players to the groups or to encourage people to use more boxes as opposed to mercs.

More real players in groups encourages the social side of the game. More boxes might mean more cash for Daybreak if those boxes are all access I guess.

If mercs are weaker I am sure Daybreak is aware of it. If you want to convince them to make a change you need to figure out their underlying reasons for not upgrading mercs and try to address that reason or convince them it is not a good one. The hard part is figuring the reason out. Trying to figure it out based on other players viewpoints isn't easy that much I know from experience.

You are a hybrid of a war/wiz if you consider you have some of the best tankability mob to mob and are a dps nuking class...

As you have a mage twink, I have a quite lovely little 105 Ranger twink. I have to admit, part of the reason I never died in Droga was probably that I havent played him in that zone yet, but I think I do have at least a rudimentary grasp about the abilities of a ranger to pull, as well as already having pulled up to and including all TBM zones.

Also, I would like to point out (again) that your insults are not asked for in this part of the forum. Either you stop insulting people left and right, or do so in the melee section.

Just logged in, soloed 2 mobs in FM, just as I said. had 3 R-servents on one and pet on other. It was easy, i mean real easy. And I nuked 2 rains in between.

Go to FM, find 2 goblin, attack with pet and R-servent. Send main pet to other mob. nuke, switch to offtank recast RS... Go back and nuke... win... Now do that somewhere harder!

Just logged in Ranger and HSed 10 mobs in 4 minutes. Should really work on my Bow AAs ...
