Is there any chance we can have other options of where to get these besides Loyalty vendors or LoN packs (never got one from a LoN pack but im told they are in there...?) I hate having to wait 3-4 weeks while my loyalty points stock back up just to be able to remove a aug that cant be removed any other way (besides destroying them..) Please put them on other vendors or heck even the marketplace for 100sc or something like that would be fine with me... OR make them tradable so I can pull some off other accounts.. /shrug -C
Carnon, what are you spending 4-5k loyalty on? Such that you're always running yourself down? You can get 10+ of these off a full loyalty bar ... if that's how you choose to spend your loyalty.
I think a lot of people just end up wasting their crowns on plat. If you want something bad enough save for it.
I second CaRnons Idea. I've got like 4 or 5 pieces of armor in my bank, just rotting and taking up space due to the fact I have to wait for my loyalty points to add up, so I can purchase perfected distillers to remove my purity augs. I don't even spend my loyalty points on plat. A few rez tokens here and there, mostly it's been on perfected distillers. I'd gladly pay 100sc per distiller, I think it would be a great way for SoE to get extra income + it would help the players out tremendously.
Lets see. The Type 3's might as well just be destroyed and brought back with Bag of Platinium from another account. (like you suggesting Perfected to be tradable). So that solves that one. Bag of Plat = ~15k which is about the cost of the Type 3's. The only issue is Oath's of Marr. But then there are only 5 slots (2 wrist, legs, head and hands) available in the new expansion. 5x 420 odd = ~2080 loyalty. I don't know what you would have blown your loyalty on tbh. But if you're low, you'd still be a lot better off doing the upgrade and putting in a +25 aug (in baz around 6k) and lose the 10 hp/10mana, rather than stay in the older gear. It's your choice on how you spend your loyalty and you haven't chosen wisely if you're having problems.
What about the people who have newer accounts? For instance, on my old account I have more than enough loyalty points to purchase my distillers, however I made a newer account which I have my main on now, yet because it's so new I haven't been able to accumulate enough loyalty points to purchase the required amount of distillers to get all my good purity augs. Can't just assume people are spending their points all willy nilly. I just think a possible alternative purchasing method might help out a few players, not just myself. /shrugs
I spent most of my points on drugs and other anti social items... no but really when they first implemented the loyalty points I spent them on gold tickets for myself and a few friends I gave away a ton of them... then the random purchase from time to time... I have also had to replace my Oath of mar's from every slot I had at least 1 time per slot.. some times 2 times now...and 2 slots 3 times now... AND I do still upgrade slots as I can and put 25purity augs in them till I can put something else in it... but when they implemented loyalty points the perfected aug distillers did not seem worth saving for so I spent the points on random junk as there really did not seem anything huge worth getting minus the anchor package and maby that bunny pet....so at the time I did not see much sense in being worried about how I spent the points. But this is off track from my point I was trying to make...... there still should be another way for us to get these perfected aug distillers besides the current options... I do like the option of a tradeskill way of making em.. -C
Ammeren, I know the initial conversation is focused on a long term veteran play (I know him) so is why that's more the way the conversation has been vent. Outside of the 5 30 purity, it doesn't matter if you get 25 purity augs from SoD, UF, HoT, VoA, RoF, CoF expansions, they're all the same and they do drop a ton. An hour of trash killing in some of those holder zones should yet you a couple. Right now options are: - farm for them (common drops) - loyalty tokens (432? per item) - bazaar (some are tradable) So it's not just loyalty points.
OR they could make the Oath of Marr's removable with a normal distiller like XVII or such level /shrug. currently I have 10 of em... 8 in current gear and 2 stuck in older gear.. I would really like to remove the 2 extra and pass on or sell (seen a few sell for 800k on this server the other day.. one sold for a mil plat... yeah I know stupid high price.. but if people gonna pay it /shrug).. but at the moment im just saving up to remove one for when I upgrade my next slot.. I think either today or tomorrow I will have enough to remove another one... I forget which day I get my additional loyalty points... But my point still is that we should have other options to get perfected aug distillers OR allow us to remove them another way WITHOUT destroying them...
The only way to remove purity augs is via perfected distillers which are only available through the loyalty vendor, they are not sold in the bazaar or able to be farmed ( that could be an awesome idea though ) The advice to farm +25 purity augs or buy them I understand, but that wasn't what I was getting at. Some of us like the +30 and don't like to settle ( I know...sometimes we have to, but in this case...come on! ) Anyway, just thought I'd add my 2 cents in here, I know I have similar problems with the distillers and it would be nice to have another option than just spending loyalty points. They take foreeeever to accumulate.
There should be a way in game to get everything on the Loyalty Vendor and SC from normal game play, NOTHING should be purchasable only. All other distillers are purchasable with plat, why is this one different? If you want to make it obtained a different way, make it by tradeskill or quest, not through a loyalty vendor which has a max on how much you can have, max for the loyalty should be millions not a few thousand.
I tend to disagree with you there Yinla, only because Loyalty isn't like everything else and isn't designed for the "masses" in the same way everything else is.
5760. 48 weeks of max velocity worth. Or maybe a year. Never really paid attention to when I get them; whether it's weekly or 4x/month.
If it is not designed for the masses, why is there a limit to how much you can have? My main account has been maxed out for so long I can't remember the last time I actually received any. Yet there is no message to tell you it is maxed. The alt account on the other hand only has a few hundred, I use them various alts for odds and sods, last thing I purchased was PP to do tradeskills. What other things are on the Loyalty vendor which you cannot get by other means? You can get better bags from tradeskills. You can get a gold ticket from playing in the casino Currencies you can get from doing various quests/missions Most if not all the house items are in the market place, (more of these should be playermade). Rez tokens, clerics, druids, pallys, necros can all rez, even mercs can rez, yes they are handy for battle rezes when your merc won't rez and healer is busy, but there are other ways. Can't think of anything else on there without logging.
