not sure what you are complaining about, firiona vie is the pay to win server of everquest. most people dont earn their loot.

Well, FV with its trading rules has always been a pay to win server, hidden or not.
But it doesn't excuse nor legitimate the rampant issues with botting.

Sadly, this thread will probably be locked , or simply deleted without any form of discussion or answer from the team.

my guild leader on fv had highest hp/ac of any tank of the server yet had never raided.

Well, probably, regarding the M and Q letters mentioned in the original post.

If you play EQ you have earned anything you have , dont care if you raided for it or were smart enough to buy it with PP !

who cares? everyone knows FV is a bunk server, imo magelo should have a little button next to the gold account button that filters out FV toons like it filters out free accounts.

have fun playing the game and worry about magelo less, thats my advice

Not everybody on fv is pay to win. I play no different than when I was on the tribunal/briste pretty sad how there are people that have a sour taste with fv thinking everyone on there is in full raid gear. I transfered when fv was doing transfers there for free and don't regret one min for doing it. FV is a great server with high population.

Some of it probably server transferred from other high end guilds across the game for $.

Personally I like the idea of almost everything being dropable. Probably has kept the lights on a bit longer for EQ.

The server transfers to FV could make the stuff no drop. Also making kronos tradeable one time only would change things alot.

There are entire 54 person raids being done by single peeps with the tools they have. That's on all servers I'd imagine as they transfer into FV. Kinda crazy at same time who would have thought we'd be at this point.

I am still around 7-9k AC. 29k AC / 420k HP is something which proves my statements about the exorbitant differences between raid gear and group gear. Perhaps some who always posts the "to easy" crap look a bit at such numbers and compare it to the group numbers.

But at least we groupers see what is possible in this game. I would love to play such a toon for a day for testing purposes to see how it feels. Once in a year this is normally possible with the beta test - but not to THAT extent.

Sadly this game has so many people who see that whole game only as a race and competition. Perhaps some should think about the fact that there are also many people who play for fun and don't need the race or competition.

So, wow, thanks for that gear list. It is nice to see, what is possible today in EQ while having the usual near top group gear.

I do not play a tank. But I learned something important to me as a crafter, sometimes delegated to select the best armor for a player. Heroic STAMINA for the win!

You understand that magelo displays ac as the old factor? It is now ac/evasion and that magelo displays it different than we see ingame. For example. Magelo displays my chars ac as 23.8k, but ingame it is displayed as 6642/3553. Gear does have significance, but not as much as you non raiders seem to think. I know all too many raid geared tank alts that still get 1 rounded on incoming who cannot tank their way out of a paper bag because they don't know what theyre doing.

FV is a great place to call home. It actually feels like a MMO, where you can engage the game as adventurer, merchant, tradeskiller, etc. There's different approaches. Although that guild has a particular reputation on the server, all that player needed to do was buy Warlord Symbols and Ores.

I say all of that to say, he's a bit overgeared for grinding mobs in GD.

Gosh... thank you Duder. I was so buffled about that. I couldn't explain that because in beta I had never such a high AC even in full raid gear.

But your statement for the gear. I test it every year in beta and I can tell you from my game play - it makes THAT BIG difference for me. Many things I could never do in my group gear with full AA are possible in raid very easy (esp. missions), so this discussion is pretty useless because it has been done nearly every year in beta. And that is my personal experience and my explanation why so many discrepancies exists here in the forum when people only see their personal truth and discuss it from their view. Many players, many playstyles, different (raid/group) gear, account standing (gold/silver/free), different achievements and their boni (!!), different seasonal items (which are.... sadly seasonal), different group layouts, different 3rd party tools (!) and even different servers and their rules. Yes all plays into this so if people brag around how easy some things are or how difficult then it is always important to take everything into account - else the information is useless propaganda for the devs. But thank you for the AC information, I don't use Magelo but I like to see (and once in a year play) a bit the high end level - so it is a nice view what is possible.

Considering the botters on AB are actually convinced they can make people that report them or just try to play normally alongside them banned, there's a strong suspicion some GMs have a financial interest in all of this. At the cost of the integrity of the game but that's alright, they only see short term anyway.

You can't pay money to beat raids in EQ. There's no difference between buying gear on FV or buying an account on any other server that has the gear you want. Neither are 'winning'. Now, the use of certain software is an issue and they should work harder on dealing with that.

mh.. you mean the rogues of the botter or some extreme eqlers who run around in SoS and video every boxer and report them if they don't fit into their perspective or have beaten them with more dps? I had a talk with a GM about this the last days.. yes... AB gets toxic... it seems their new way of defence is now denounciation and hypocrisy...

Nuggets sell for like 35 million on FV (thats like 12 krono at FV prices) chase loot is or has been worth more on live servers I think.
