Little more info? Using Steam? First time install? Windows versions? AV/Firewall turned off for testing? Couple of suggestions: right-click the eq icon if you have one (if not go to the file/r click eqgame.exe) and select Properties, go to the Compatibility tab and under Privilege Level check the box for Run this program as an administrator. Make sure you have added eqgame.exe and launchpad to exclusion list for defender if your using defender which most people do,
