Overseer mass retirement of common agents

Alternate idea. A new achievement entitled "Carpal Tunnel Fun" earned by spending hours trimming the number of excess agents. It could have a few sub achievements as well. "Wrist Brace" and "Non-ADA Compliant" perhaps. Or even more simply. Just let us /toggle off more agents.

There are some real synergistic marketing opportunities with medical device companies here.

Can someone look into why Overseer mission only seem to fail when paid for with DBC?

It sucks to spend real money for a worse result.

They fail for me when I don't spend. Life and I sometimes just don't get along.

I want something for my mass conversions, once completing all the agents access is done. Keep a base of 2 commons, 2 uncommons, 1 rare and I elite, and get tetras for all the rest- seeing as Tetras can be used to buy ornaments, unattuners, previous expansion coins, maybe other stuff, not checked the list lately. The question is what method to trade in the unwanted spares, convert to spare elites and then convert them or some other option, probably this question is being asked regularly by developers and or the advisor group- do it once, do it right. (As an aside, Year of Darkpaw will come to an end, what to do with the spare coins, or will the tower remain with the NPC so characters can level up and buy the higher level gear). So much we want done, and only so many to work on things.

Changing the crit reward to be this Common Agent Catalyst instead of an actual agent would probably be the lowest effort change. Recruitment quests would still award agents, but crit rewards would be this Catalyst:

Make them stack to 100. Allow them to be sold to the Overseer merchant. The problem of too many agents would take care of itself. There would be no need for mass convert.

One thing about mass convert is that it's really only needed one time to deal with 10's of duplicate agents. If they stop giving out agents, you'd never need mass convert. Switching the reward this this Catalyst would mean you'd never need to mass convert once you had your set of agents.

I spend DBC early last year trying to finish missions and noticed the same thing. The fails mostly happen on missions you pay to complete. It would make sense if you could complete unlimited numbers of missions with DBC but I am pretty sure its limited. Dunno balancing feature?

If you pay to finish a task right after you start it, it'll fail more often than it succeeds it seems...could be some sort of built in failure rate from when there was no limit to the number of tasks you could do. But if you wait until it's at least over half way done, it very rarely fails. I'll sometimes pay to finish a task that has an hour or less to go (cuz I'm impatient) and don't ever recall getting a failure.

When I saw my agents starting to accumulate, I just started doing my conversions along with my daily overseer. I know it is too late for all of you that did not think to do this early on, but for those that read this that have not developed this problem yet, this strategy can help to avoid this issue.

Overseer conversion is an excellent cure for insomnia, leave it as is, just the best sort of gameplay loop.
On a level with slowing down tier 2 armor drops to give the game longevity...

These would be amazing changes to overseer. It is getting to be a slog to do any quests now, and converting 3 commons at a time is just way to slow. I would be thrilled to be able to just delete a tone of common agents.

And let it just automatically happen. Not have to go to a diff tab, click on that quest, click finish. Just do the convert.

Fails a lot also with free accounts/characters (as compared to paid for/current accounts/characters)

OMG! Someone else noticed. If you let them run until near the end, they are 99% success. One a month might fail. If you start a quest and finish it right away, it's (anectodally) 40% failure every time, 60% of the time, even though it's listed as 88 - 90% success. It's like... you want to spend DB, you gotta pay the cheese tax.

    (Devs, don't read this :) )
We probably shouldn't complain too much about this behavior. The "bug" is that normal Overseer has a 99% success rate rather than whatever the quest success rate says. According to my logs, my overall Overseer success rate is 97%+. I've never done a quest with a success percentage that high. Mostly, they are in the 85%-90% range. That stated percentage seems to be ignored or the else the success outcome is improperly calculated. Overseer is almost always successful. I think that if they look into the success difference with Finish Now, we'll end up with normal Overseer having a lower success rate to match what the quest says rather than the Finish Now quests boosting up to a 99% success rate. My guess is that the Finish Now quests have a success rate that matches whatever the quest says while normal Overseer is improperly calculating the success rate to be higher than it should be.

I think you might be correct... a "fix" could end up being worse overall.

Make the reward from retiring an agent tradable.....
