Out of Era class / Race Combo on Teek / Tormax

Now that it’s been proven you can make Elf Beaslords, Froglok Monks, and Drakkin before their supposed era (as observed on TLP today).

Can we please get either Teek or Tormax with all class / race options enabled at launch?

They will be broken but sounds like they are trying.

Is this true? For example, are people expecting that we can use persona to create Froglok monks on day 1 of the new tlps?

I tried to make a zerker on Oakwynd. I could create it but I couldn't log it in.

I did manage to make and log in a wood elf bst on Mischief.

They will fix this long before the servers open. Either patching it out or finishing what they started, if they started anything at all and this wasn't just something they broke.

I'd buy the latest expansion if it meant I could persona beastlord at launch.

Why do you just really love bl that much? They are awful when they come out being in a broken state until luclin just sounds awful.

They are persona-ing it. I would imagine they will main something else, like a monk, then when Luclin does hit they have a level 60 bst ready to go.

That's not how Personas work though. Each Persona has to level up, get AAs and skillups on their own.

... I am aware of that, I have several personas attached to my main. He can still level the bst up to 60 in his spare time while maining the monk and then have a level 60 bst ready to go. The leveling process isn't that time consuming, and he can wait till it's not so broken to actually play it as a main.

Yes ok. I forgot that this thread is about asking for BSTs to be available from server launch.

I don’t think we are expecting anything - we are asking for this or something similar though because it’s painfully obvious that it is possible to make this happen; however there appears to be little interest from the team / management to offer this (or a lack of resources to pursue it).

For those uninformed:

For about half a day (maybe longer?) you were able to make out of era race / class combos on various TLP. In example, on Agnarr, I was able to make a Froglok Monk or any of the Drakkin race / class combos. Agnarr is locked at PoP, so none of these “should” be available under the current rules. These could all be made as stand alone from character select or via Persona and were accessible both from Character select and were able to enter the world (Drakkin got booted to POK because their zone isn’t available).

You could make a berserker as well (also not available at PoP) - HOWEVER making a berserker for any race led to an immediate disconnect when entering the world. I tried all race options and both original home city and Crescent Reach (not available on Agnarr). The outcome was the same, immediate disconnect. Attempting to return home from character select was the same result: Disconnect.

Worse, if you tried to make a berserker from a persona - your character was locked on that disconnect loop as a zerker and a ticket had to be submitted to get the team to correct it for you.

Overall - it’s entirely possible given what we saw on live servers to allow at least more race combinations. Zerkers are an unknown as to why they disconnected but there’s a theory it may have tried to launch the noob dungeon and was booting from some fail related to the intro launch scene.

Regardless, offering more classes and races on the 25th anniversary TLP would be a welcome addition to a generally underwhelming TLP reboot offering.

Personally, I'd like to use the BST as a ghetto shaman/support DPS for my 3rd box. It's just a personal play style choice.

No reason that the race/class can not be done in classic. Same could not be said for BST and BER at least in that experience as indicated without some more changes.

Servers not in GoD so of course berserker would disconnect. If the server was not in or past Luclin making a beastlord would have done the same thing.

Overall, this does look like a good idea on what is possible. Maybe not BST and BER at least right now, but possibly all other combos, be fun to Froglok or Vah Shir at the beginning even without BST and BER. Froglok home is easily in Mountains of Rathe and really the Vah Shir could temporarily maybe be placed there as well. And Drakkin I guess but gross.
