“Selo is going to be a Fast Progression Server. This server is for anyone who wants to experience all of EverQuest's 20 years of content and fly through the expansions.”

“On this server, experience will be gained at nearly double the rate of Ragefire or Lockjaw.”

Fact: Selo AA exp is currently on par with Phinny and Coirnav in era, and is half that of Agnarr in era. No one will even make it to PoP with these experience rates. Daybreak is just begging people to cancel their memberships and stop giving them money.

This is the most pathetic excuse for a dev team imaginable. Not only are they apparently incapable of doing some simple math to fix the experience rate they blatantly lied about (or maybe just messed up due to sheer incompetence), but they still are ignoring posts about an obvious problem that will result in hundreds of subs lapsing and tens of thousands of dollars in revenue lost.

Have fun with your dead server and angry bosses becuase you are so bad at your job you can’t even deliver an exp rate, which could easily just be modified by taking another server’s exp rate and giving it a scalar multiple.

You lost me at scalar multiple.

3x is a scalar multiple of x. All you need to do is take whatever exp formula exists and just multiply the entire thing by 2, which clearly isnt what the devs did.

They obviously tried to be fancy and make a new formula for this server becuase the leveling exp is slightly accelerated, but the AA experience is even slower than had they just cloned Lockjaw/Ragefire and left it alone

If I did my job as badly as they do theirs, I would be unemployed within a week.

    It really is mind blowing.

Its not hard to take 30 seconds to give an update. Were I to go totally radio silence on a costumer asking for an quick update on a project Id probably lose that client... and my job.

I'm going to do a quick exercise off the top of my head.

4 weeks in an expansion is 28 days. (Admittedly, Luclin is 6 weeks, but the first week or 2 is a write-off anyways since you're going full EXP/keying for at least a week.)

Let's say you're somewhat hardcore and play EQ 5 days a week.

I'll be conservative and say you need 100 AA in the expansion.

That puts you at 20 AA per gaming session.

Granted our gear was bad to start, but as a fast exp'er on Selo I made under 10 AA using a 4 hour 50% pot in a charm group. I'm certainly not always going to have a potion going, and I might not have a straight 4 hours of grinding. My camp could be better, of course since Ssra is not ideal. But the point is, in a group of 6 high quality players using charm, the AA exp didn't exactly flow like wine.

Bottom line, hardcore is an understatement. If you want an average amount of AA on Selo you need to no-life your free time.

How many people are willing to no-life for a tour de Norrath style server?

My guess is it's somewhere south of 100.
