Fighting in PoHate tonight we got locked out of attacking the mob we were fighting in the middle of the fight. The mob could still attack us but we could not attack back. Our bard got killed on the "pull" due to lull failing, but it still split the mobs out enough to be single pulled. The bard may have zoned back to bind in the middle of the fight to run back as we had no one that could res. We have also seen this same behavior. It’s especially bad for mobs that DT when pulled. Scenario: initial aggro person eats the first DT, pullers tag and bring the mob into the raid. Initial aggro that ate the DT releases or times out without a Rez, the mob will be FTE locked from everyone while still attacking the raid for 15 seconds. During Cazic Thule last night it resulted in no way to taunt him midfight because the puller released.
We have had two cases in the last week where our raid encounter gets locked mid-way through the fight. The first time was while fighting a dracoliche in a Plane of Fear DZ on 6/6. The second time was while fighting Maestro of Rancor in a Plane of Hate DZ on 6/8. We believe is caused by some combination of the puller being feared and possibly dying while feared? In the case of Maestro yesterday, we had to rez the puller and have them /yell to unlock the fight even though Maestro was beating on the tank and everyone was in the raid together. Dracoliche was a little more chaotic so we just had everyone spam /yell on the mob until it eventually unlocked. In that case everyone was in the raid as well.
Thanks for the detailed reports. I was able to replicate this and have submitted a ticket to get it fixed.
I believe the underlying issue of this issue has been located and will be fixed with the next monthly update. If an NPC kills its lock owner and they were the only one on its hatelist (such as them pulling), then the lock wasn't transferring to someone else properly. This led to the NPC effectively being locked again when that owner left the zone. If anyone has experienced this issue outside of the situation above, please let us know.
