I assume this is why they added mana cost to the wizard's Force of xxxx aa. They knew this was coming.

    Here have this ability....

    NOT REALLY LOL HAHA

They are extremely great at taking the wind out of your sails when your really going along great. Mad props to DBG for that at least.

lawl, and who are you? Some noob hiding behind an alt. This real discussion you're referring to is the same old noobs, with the same old cries. Get triggered.

This happens every time they're about to release a new expansion. The tin foil hat crew (in which I maintain a loose/occasional membership) says it's because they go to write new AAs/abilities for the next expansion and realize they'd gotten ahead of themselves the last go-around, so they nerf the old abilities and then make the new abilities just to get folks back to where they were pre-nerf. It obviates the need for any creativity in updating classes.

Or, even more tinfoil-y, and more clever on DBG's part if true: They nerf stuff to purposefully stir the pot, and use the forum complaints as a template for making the new class abilities in the next expansion, thereby outsourcing this responsibility to the forum trolls in one fell swoop!

More likely, the first time they actually use/test the abilities from the previous expansion is when they start working on the new expansion. They're then shocked to see what they previously created and diol it back.

Another possibility is as they're creating new things, they uncover and fix bugs they ignored and didn't fix last year and those bug fixes end up nerfing existing abilities.

Bard dicho appears to be a combination of both.
