NoS Group T2 Gear

Most named drops are no drop, so not sure how hunting named brings in plat unless you are selling loot rights (ick). Yes there are spells, so I guess you kill named for spells? But there is plenty of other ways to get plat than spell runes.

I box the Arly camp in Paludal. I can clear the 7 PH before respawn. IIRC each mob is dropping anywhere from 80-110 plat for me and the box. I can do two repops (14 mobs) before the merc charges me 250pp. So killing 14 mobs at an average of, say, 90 plat per... that is 1260 plat. Take away the merc fee, I just made 1k in plat killing random trash at a camp in 15 minutes. Then you sell the collectibles in the bazaar, the cheap ones on my server are around 500 plat per. I can get like 2-5 per hour, so that is another 1k-2500 plat. So in one hour of play, I have obtained 4k in plat and an additional 1k-2500 in collects.

So yes I am aware that there are players who are poor. I just have a hard time understanding, considering my camp can bring me 5k-6500 plat in an hour. And I guarantee there are far more profitable places out there as well.

Really? Most of the named drops I get are tradable. The ones which aren't I use for tribute.

Tier 2 is no trade, as are the apparitionals. Most of Tier 1 is tradeable except for augs

Most T1 gear is tradeable, at least until NoS hit. For some reason, most stuff from this expansion is no trade, other than the armor. I'm not sure why they went away from the formula that they've used for several expansions. But before NoS, almost all T1 gear was tradeable.

I don't think I've seen any T2 gear from any expansion that's tradeable.

Seems level increase T1 stuff is tradeable. Non level increase T1 is not.

That is not much. You are looking at doing that steadily for at least four hours before you have enough plat to make one piece of group T1 armor and five to six for a piece of T2. Trade skill gear is even more expensive. It is something like a 185k for a set T1 and 230k for T2. Being able to use the T1 gear as a regent would personally save me about two and half to three hours of mindless slaughter in Steam Factory. Time that could be better spent mindless slaughtering mobs in NoS for cloak XP.

This is not an issue for me right now. I've already done the time for spell and gear upgrades in NoS. It would not be a bad thing for some of us though if they went back to the model for the next expansion.

*As a side note, I did set up a trader with all my old junk I've collected from like ToV and made over a million plat just selling the stuff cheaply. I appreciate that suggestion.

O I agree 5k an hour isn't much. But if you need, say, 250k to make all your gear... that is 50 hours of play. Which means within a month or two of playing, you already have enough plat to cover your armor needs. The rest of the year is just gravy.

And now you are a millionaire! That should carry you for the next two expansions as far as basic gear needs being met.
