You would have a lot more people stay later in game if you would have slower server unlocks. Most of the people in EQ would consider themselves more of a casual player/raider. So to have at least one of the servers on a slower expansion unlock then normal may bring back a lot of people that left due to being burnt out on raids.

If there's a desire for a more casual server, then also get rid of Mitigation of the Mighty.

You could have people quitting the game faster if you have slower server unlocks. There, fixed it for you.

I was thinking Kunark start Freetrade NOT Random loot. Def NOT slower unlocks. People are quitting faster and faster. Anything longer than 2 months is torture.

Are longer expansions really in the best interests of the majority of players? Loot is so abundant on Mischief that I've been completely best in slot for weeks without doing any open world raid content. We're losing players because there's no progress left to be made with more than a month until GoD.

I have been on Mischief for a few months now and from what I have seen it has nothing to do with the random loot. This isn't everyone's first time on the TLP's. Mostly everyone I have seen leave in the past month or 2 has to do with them being burnt out on raids. going from the long tedious clears in NToV, Vex thal, and PoTime is extremely time-consuming raids. With the servers have a slow expansion unlock would be able to take a few weeks off here and there. It has been this way since they have started doing TLP servers. After PoP people start to drop off.

All the known camps have people sitting at them 24/7 so they can sell the drops for as much krono as they can get? Sounds like a quick way to RMT paradise.

I really don't think people want longer unlocks. Heck, you are in Velious for 6 months, with no level cap increase.

I don't get how people want fast unlocks and reroll a TLP each year. You're quitting the server anyways to play the same content you were just in. What does it matter if it unlocks faster or slower? The only difference is maybe you see Luclin and PoP vs only the trilogy each year. Whoopity doo

Looks like with Mischief they are angling for getting right to OoW right when the new server comes out. Since they launch two at a time anyway (due to initial overcrowding if nothing else), they could do one slow one that takes two years to finish the classic era, plus a fast one that repeats annually for the racers.

Though I agree about people being so antsy to get it over with faster. Just fit in a second hobby or something. Same for people who want to skip initial expansions. Skipping content does not require daybreak's cooperation, just don't log in.

Longer unlocks will just have you losing more people. Once someone stops playing the typically don't come back. The few who do come back only do so when a new expansion comes out. Longer expansions would just make more folks quit and forget about EQ. It would have exactly the opposite effect that you are looking for.

No more clones, and definitely no longer unlocks. I don't want free trade, but I'd be okay with it as long as they do something different again such as a level locked server.

They COULD do a slow one, but it would be empty. People asked for six month unlocks for Ragefire/Lockjaw then complained non stop when they actually got it, and begged for it to be changed.

The complaining was only during Classic and Kunark. I never heard anyone complaining about the timers in Velious-PoP

Agree. I'm not a fan of free trade either but removing level rec/req would be nice change.

Release LDON a week after PoP release and then DoN a week after OOW release.

If you want a mischief clone, just play on mischief.
