New TLP Idea - THE GOAT IDEA!

All the same rules as Mischief except allow any race/class/deity combination. So, you could have a dwarf monk who worships Inny or you could have Wood Elf Necro that is Agnostic. Iksar Cleric Berty.

I'd say one caveat would be to probably reduce cultural armor requirements completely. That would probably make the game more fun overall (in my opinion). Also, would take a lot of effort to recode allowing cleric gear to have iksars on them, but Mischief was a lot of work too. Beastlord pets - just tag a local mob that is in their starting area to them. Doesn't have to be fancy or nuanced.

Just a small fee for the idea. Please have the name wolf somewhere in the name of one of the servers. Much Love!

What I like about free trade: being able to pass my old gear to an alt.
What I dislike about free trade: everything else.

I really hate how greedy it makes everyone. I don't think I want to play on another free trade server. Maybe a server where all no trade was changed to heirloom, but that's not that big of a selling point probably not worth the time it would take to make it work.

Heirloom is an easy fix. Summarized: CTRL F - No Trade Replace with Heirloom. Done. Maybe slightly more complex but nothing challenging for a developer. EQ2 did it pretty easily iirc.

Free trade should be the standard from now on.

Who are you playing with? I saw tremendously more greedy behavior on Phini than Mischief. If anything loot is so cheap and accessible on Mischief that people just give most things away...

I've been on every TLP since Ragefire now and Mischief has had dramatically less toxicity, greedy behavior and drama. People just give things away. Myself and a lot of others used to parcel Carto gear during Classic and Kunark and he would run around to all the noob zones handing it out.

Epic stuff in Kunark was highly contested but that is no different than any other TLP and a lot more of the items dropped here off random nameds so it was much better.

Free trade inherently makes everyone more greedy because before when a no trade item drops and there's only 1 person in the group who can use it and it's an upgrade for them, it goes to that person. On mischief everyone rolls for it because they can sell it to someone else and use that plat to buy something for themselves. Anyone trying to say this doesn't happen is lying.

This doesn't happen. Because that item has drop 570 times before and only sells on the bazaar for 10 plat so no one really cares about it and if it's an upgrade go for it, but really, why didn't you just buy it before now? Cheapskate.

Free trade is a nice one off but should never be the standard.

You would lose tons of players if you went free trade as the standard.

The free trade players can just stay on Mischief.

Disagree with free trade making people MORE greedy, people would sit on the high value camps and "auction" off the loot rights for no drop items in zone or general chat. The bonus and tradable loot lets people be less greedy as there is far more of it in circulation. Maybe some players feel people are more greedy for wanting more plat/krono for raid gear than they can afford.
