New Expansion Announcement

With the annual big nerf coming tomorrow, the next expansion should be unveiled very soon. Anybody else want to place bets on when we see the announcement?

I'm betting it comes this Wednesday, 9/20/2017, before noon PST.

They've done good as far as maintaining radio silence.

It will probably be Everquest: The Breakout of Ak'Anon.

Basically, the gnomes, having been made fun of and put underfoot for ages (past 18 years) have gotten tired of it, and have been secretly building (literally) an gnarmy. They will release this gnarmy upon Norrath with full gnomish fury, and declare themselves our overlords. All other races will have to work together to put down this new threat to Norrath and beyond. As a perk, all gnome PCs will become KoS to all other players in game.

Daybreak could slap on a $500 price tag and I'll be just fine with that!

Also, all gnome NPCs over that level are set to level 104.

If you are truly new, then this is a tradition with Daybreak to nerf before the next expansion is announced.

Also it is a tradition to nerf xp in zones opening up to F2P. So expect TBM xp to be reduced.

Awesome!!! Reminds me of waaaaay back (probably like Velious era) when I played on VZ, was a member of an all shorties raiding guild, The Underfoot Brigade. We were like a tiny gnarmy.... Many many fun raids... just no rangers to sacrifice to the Death Touch mobs.

Yea my guess would be tomorrow they'll announce it in the news letter since EQ2's patches are on Tuesdays and EQ on Wednesday.

Seems like they might just be confirming there is an expansion and not actually sharing details about it until later if that EQ2 blip is the format.

We'll get the name of the expansion and what the lore will be. I am going with it not being additional zones for Empire of Kunark, because that would be add-on zones for last years expansion.

It's going to be EOK 2.
