New ancient drops - why so much hate for clerics?

Yes like it is logical to expect that idioms make logical sense - not.
  2. Fooba Augur

The real question is why does Quarken get an insta click invis sword for making a crappy video.

    I don't get it, either.

    - Every other plate class (including Warriors who can't even cast spells) and priest is able to use it. That fact invalidates the "Clerics should only cast IVU" argument because classes that can't cast any form of invis are able to use it.

    - I see some bring up the Small Manisi Branch (an item with a 1.0 sec cast heal) as a reason (the "Clerics already got something nice" argument), but that is usable by all priests, not just Clerics.

    - Clerics are also able to use most of the other, slower-cast invis clicky items introduced into the game up to now, so you can't really use the "tradition" argument, either.

    - Is it the Umbral Guard effect that blocks up to 90,000 damage for 1 hit (and removes the invis)? Several classes that are able to use the item have damage-blocking abilities, so that can't be it, either.

I have to assume it's an oversight, unless the item developer says (or has said) otherwise. I can't think of any other logical reason to only exclude Clerics from the item unless the item developer decided to start a new tradition of denying Clerics a fast-cast invis item. It's not a huge deal if that's the case because we still have cloudy potions (which we will have to carry around anyway for when invis drops in dangerous areas or after we fade). It'd just be disappointing.

I have to laugh it was intentional to leave Clerics off of the Ancient Line up because it has Invisibility. I carry 40 - 100 cloudy potions at all times, I'm usually grouped so a single stack can last me weeks at a time, or I'll go through 2 stacks in an hour, depending on who I'm playing with. Being able to self invis is such an insignificant thing I just don't see how this could have been the reason.

I agree with Clarisa that this must have been an oversight, or there is something else about this that we're not seeing, cause I can't see the limiting factor as being the Self Invis.

It's a sarcastic idiom. It implies something like, "I could care less...oh wait, no I can't!"

However, people try and take the words way too literally without realizing it's actual meaning.

I personally cannot understand why clerics go into such a frenzy of not having the invis item on an item, each time an item comes out that have it, and they not on.

Are there really not anything else they want more, and wanna Invest time/effort getting ?

Maybe I am looking at it in a weird way, but..

Imo, I think during an expansion time, each class will be able to change the game in some sort of way a number of times. Give an example of 15 times.

Each time, you get something changed, you use a kind of credit, unless it is something totally obvious, which should already have been changed.

So if some come 4 times for a specific class, first time they positive, NeXT time also, then they start to change mod, because they already changed and well, it might tilt over that this specific class gets their thing done all time, so miight end up having spend their credits and then will end up back in the queue on getting stuffs done. There are after all only a certain number of developers in the game.

My question is just, is this such an effort worth fighting for, that it might be done instead of something that will give the class better ?

Because when you were once in "Cheatality, erTriality" you feel frequently the need to disappear in crowds. To avoid the natural ensconcement of your fellow player.

Quite the contrary. I already explained it above and the explanation is quite fitting and whole in regards to myself and my artifact. And while brevity, previously leveraged and wasted, is the force of misanthropy, a force and philosophy I quite fancy, it seems that I must expound. It's quite a paradox you see for I am he who is; infinitely above everything that you can understand for I am the 'hidden God', my name is ineffable, and I am the God who makes himself close to men.

    Too right. Follow along.

Much easier, even though they are red cons. They are basically trash mobs (the larger kind). They do give about 4AA on a kill though.

The challenge is the slog to kill ~50 mobs to get them to spawn.

Just be happy your not a monk and got totally screwed. While I agree Cleric probably should not have been excluded on the Invis clicky, clerics still got one of the best new rares. A clicky heal that can be cast between spells (during global cooldown) is pretty awesome. Although it's not really up a clerics ally, you can also use the overpowered quadruple Sympathetic proc shield.

Melee got a 100% worthless HoT clicky with an insane 5 sec cast time. Which makes it complete trash. Their are player made HoT clicks from years ago that are better than this PoS. Not only would I have to stop attacking for 5 secs to use it, but being a pure melee I don't have the spell interrupt AA's that casters do so it also can get easily interrupted. All for a whopping 15k healing over 18 secs... This piece of crap should have 10x faster cast time, like .5 or less.

So the only even somewhat useful click monks got is the Invis. Meanwhile, rangers can use every single one of the rares. Seems balanced to me ><

this has been the 1st expac in a long time where rangers didn't get the shaft, at least give us a few months before throwing us under the bus lol

Of course there are other issues, but there are also old battles to be fought.

I'd certainly trade all our "new cleric stuff" this expansion (let's be honest, there's almost no new class-specific stuff at all) for an AA non-timed invis.

I'm a rogue. I don't even have a use for the invis clickie. The pet proc sword is useless as it's a sword and rogues get more AA and discs to bolster 1hp that using a 1hs to proc a novelty pet is a loss in dps. I got nothing from the ancient drops.

    Clerics can Tribute the items.

I think this is wrong. I'm very happy I may be able to get it on my warrior, but clerics could use an invis click too.
  18. Dropfast Augur

Yea I guess Rogue and Zerker got it bad too on the rares. Pure melee got the shaft pretty bad all around. On top of the crap rares, we also didn't get a belt with Boon of the Seeres just because the Dev didn't feel the need to continue that. But they continued the tanks OP slow proc! Makes perfect sense to me o_O

The only time I can see casting this thing is before a mob engage. And even then, it's still pretty useless - 15k total (or 20k? Does it start healing at time 0?) is less than a decent hit from a trash mob. So we an basically negate one hit from a mob that can quad. Raid mob or named, and it's less than half a hit. With a 2 minute delay. Hello, storage!

Increase heal amount, decrease cast time please. Hell, make it a group cast - then it'll definitely be used.
